Re: Hungary is new hot spot on migrant route into EU - Part 2
Britain faces the spectre of another wave of mass migration after Brussels bureaucrats opened the gates of Europe to Turkey's 75million citizens.
Plans to allow Turks access to EU visas – in exchange for their country's help with the Syrian migration crisis – were branded as 'bordering on insanity' last night. Ukip leader Nigel Farage warned the deal – a possible precursor to Turkey becoming a full EU member – could result in even more pressure on UK schools and hospitals.
He added that Turkey was 'too big, too poor and too different from us culturally' to be in the EU. But Turkey's hardline president, Recep Tayyip Erdogan, demanded membership as the price for stemming the tide of refugees pouring over his country's borders into Europe.
In exchange for the visa deal and £2.2billion in aid – which could include up to £260million from the UK – Mr Erdogan will step up border controls, tackle people-smuggling gangs and re-admit failed asylum seekers who had entered Europe from Turkey. Late on Thursday night at a summit in Brussels, EU officials agreed to speed up talks on visas allowing Turks into the EU's border-free Schengen Zone, which could come into effect as soon as next year.

Yup, they're serious. If this had blown up before the General Election, then the result would have been very different indeed.

What a joke the EU has turned out to be for its tax paying citizens but not for millions of people from countries outside their borders.

Swiss show how we could thrive free from Eurocrats
Daily Express

Swiss show how we could thrive free from Eurocrats
Britain has "much to gain" by leaving the EU and following the Swiss example of striking its own trade agreements around the world, a think tank said yesterday.
The Civitas report looked at how Switzerland has made lucrative international deals outside the EU and said the UK could make its own "serious deals" with new partners.
The evidence supports those who argue that Britain should vote to leave the EU in the referendum to be held by the end of 2017.
They say it is a scandal that a historically great trading nation like Britain is barred from making its own deals with the Commonwealth and emerging economies such as China.
All such agreements at present must be negotiated by the EU on behalf of all its member states.
Civitas's Jonathan Lindsell studied Switzerland's 2009 deal with Japan which secured lower tariffs on key exports like chocolate and watches and won better access for services.
He wrote: "UK trade would have much to gain if Britain took a similar approach to Switzerland... Many possible trade partners are intimidated by the EU's great size.
"By representing itself rather than being one of 28 jostling partners, Britain could focus on winning tariff concessions for its own goods and granting them where the Government considers appropriate."
He warned securing new deals could take time, adding: "If Britain voted to leave the EU... the country would face new challenges." But he said: "By constructing policy on the Swiss example, Britain can be confident that serious talks would yield serious deals."

Hungary shuts Croatian border to migrant flow
BUDAPEST, Hungary (AP) — The latest news as migrants fleeing war or seeking a better life make their way across Europe by the tens of thousands. All times local.
Hungary clamped down on its border with Serbia with a barrier on Sept. 15 and says it will close down its border with Croatia to migrants starting at midnight. More than 383,000 migrants have entered Hungary this year, nearly all passing through on their way to Germany and other destinations farther west in the EU.
October 17, 2015
12:30 a.m.
The Hungarian government says it has shut down its border with Croatia to the free flow of migrants "to protect the citizens of Hungary and Europe."
Government spokesman Zoltan Kovacs said early Saturday in the border village of Zakany that several hundred migrants who reached the border minutes before midnight (2200GMT) would still be allowed to enter Hungary for humanitarian reasons.
Hungary has built a razor-wire fence on the border with Croatia, mirroring a similar barrier finished last month on its border with Serbia. Both fences are meant to prevent migrants from freely entering the country while trying to reach Germany and other destinations in the European Union.
Croatia said it would begin taking migrants to its border with neighboring Slovenia to circumvent Hungary, from where they could continue their journey west.
More than 383,000 migrants have entered Hungary in 2015.
10:50 p.m.
Slovenia has suspended regular train traffic with Croatia in anticipation of the influx of migrants wishing to reach western Europe.
The flow of people is expected to shift to Slovenia when Hungary closes its border with Croatia for migrants at midnight Friday (2200GMT.)
Slovenia has said it will accept the arrivals, but wants to control the influx. Officials say additional police have been sent to the border with Croatia to manage the flow.
Slovenia's railway said Friday it has prepared trains to transport the migrants to the refugee centers prepared for them. Most of them are expected to move on to Austria and Germany.
More than 180,000 people fleeing war and poverty in the Middle East, Africa or Asia have passed through Croatia since mid-September.
10:30 p.m.
Croatian officials say they will start sending migrants to the border with Slovenia after Hungary closes its border for migrants wishing to reach western Europe.
Foreign Minister Vesna Pusic said Friday Croatia will coordinate the migrant flow with Slovenia, which has said it wants to control the number of migrants entering the small Alpine nation.
Pusic says about 5,000 migrants on average have entered Croatia daily since mid-September. She adds that "we have succeeded in taking care of these people, but we expect the European Union to stop the wave at the Greek border."
Interior Minister Ranko Ostojic says Croatia will be transporting migrants in trains and buses to three crossings with Slovenia.
Hungary is closing down its border with Croatia to the free flow of migrants beginning at midnight Friday (2200 GMT).
7 p.m.
Slovenia is beefing up its border controls and will create entry points for refugees to manage the influx after Hungary closes its border with Croatia and thousands turn toward the small Alpine nation.
Officials said Friday they are sending enhanced police units to the border. They say Slovenia will keep accepting refugees as long as neighboring Austria and Germany keep their borders open.
Interior Minister Vesna Gyorkos Znidar says "we want to have a controlled number of refugees arriving."
Foreign Minister Karl Erjavec says "our main objective is to provide for security and order in republic of Slovenia and make sure migrants who arrive are received properly." He says the national security council will meet Saturday.

Bulgaria's Interior Ministry prevented the production and export of 10 000 fake Syrian passports to Turkey, said the ministry's Chief Secretary Svetlozar Lazarov in Plovdiv.
The production and distribution of the fake documents was organised by a Bulgarian citizen in two printing houses in Plovdiv.
Six people, including the printers, were arrested.
According to Lazarov, quoted by the BNT public broadcaster, the fake passports were supposed to legalise the entry of immigrants coming from Turkey in the EU, where they would ask for refugee status.
Lazarov told the media that the order for fake passports amounted to USD 50 000.

A leading mayoral candidate has been stabbed in the neck during a campaign stop in the German city of Cologne.
Henriette Reker and an aide were both severely injured in the knife attack on Saturday morning, local officials said.
Three others who tried to overwhelm the attacker were also hurt.
Police say a 44-year-old man has been arrested.
While the attacker's motivations are not yet clear, some German media outlets say the man expressed opposition to the country's response to refugees.
Ms Reker was at an information stand for Chancellor Angela Merkel's Christian Democrats (CDU) party.
Even though the 58-year-old is running as an independent candidate, she has the backing of the CDU, the Greens, and the Free Democrats.
The mayoral election is due to take place on Sunday.
Her main rival, Social Democrat Jochen Ott, suspended his campaign in the wake of the attack.
The outgoing mayor Juergen Roters said he was "deeply shocked" by the incident.

A disused school in southern Sweden that was planned to house 80 refugees has burned to the ground in what police say is a case of "aggravated arson."
No arrests have been made.
Ljungby town officials said the school in Kanna had been destroyed. It closed in 2011and had received a make-over to be ready to house refugees.
Earlier this month, Sweden's government has ordered the immigration agency to set up tents to provide temporary accommodation and has tasked local authorities with drawing up an inventory of all premises that can be used as shelters.
More than 150,000 asylum seekers are expected to arrive in Sweden this year.

Oh well, the international banks, the IMF, the ECB etc will be ecstatic. Think how those countries taking them in will be even more indebted paying for all this. The austerity will be deeply alarming in due course.......

It's not so much the inevitable increased austerity that scares me, Lily, though that is bad enough. No, it's the growing violence. That stupid woman Merkel has opened Pandora's box - whoever thought that the hard Right would rise again in Europe?

Sorry Bonny, I had put a financial angle on this on top of all the other ones. Did not make myself clear.
That will be the cherry on the cake for the elites.
In terms of everything, it will be excruciating and all dumped on the hapless citizens.

Ceaușescu’s regime collapsed after he ordered his security forces to fire on anti-government demonstrators in the city of Timișoara on 17 December 1989. The demonstrations spread to Bucharest and became known as the Romanian Revolution, which was the only violent removal of a Communist government in the course of the revolutions of 1989.[5] Ceaușescu and his wife, Elena, fled the capital in a helicopter but were captured by the armed forces. On 25 December the couple were hastily tried and convicted by a special military tribunal on charges of genocide and sabotage of the Romanian economy in an approximate one hour long court session.[6] Ceaușescu and his wife were then shot by a firing squad.[7]

http://gatesofvienna.net/2015/10/as-goes-nickelsdorf-so-goes-europe/
The following article concerns the little hamlet of Nickelsdorf in the province of Burgenland in eastern Austria, hard on the Hungarian border along the main route between Budapest and Vienna. Over the past several months Nickelsdorf has been overwhelmed by an influx of thousands of primitive, feral “refugees”, who have left the town — and in particular its railway carriages — overflowing with refuse and filth.
It’s heartbreaking to look at this aerial view of Nickelsdorf. The idyllic scene brings home the magnitude of what is being systematically destroyed in the heart of Central Europe. Well-ordered public spaces, beautiful architecture, peaceful communities — all surrendered to the mandate of multiculture.
Before multikulti:
After multikulti:
As has been noted everywhere they go, the 'migrants' don't use toilets.
Western toilets are phooey!
Mobility is an across-the-board problem nowadays for the indigenous population. For the longest time, all train traffic has been completely halted to and from Nickelsdorf; the trains stopped at the station before the town. And here you see the same picture you can see with the Railjets of the ÖBB (Austrian Federal Railway) in all trains that were used to transport immigrants: All railway wagons were extremely filthy beyond the acceptable. The trains had to be cleaned and disinfected. Many cars were rendered useless due to the contamination of feces. Many of the immigrants of the Near and Middle East have no use for Western toilets — just as they have no use for our idea of garbage disposal. The local garbage collection locations at the most were used as convenient pissoirs.
