Regards the Craig Murray blog ~ if, as Murray claims, a group of Met police contributed to Amaral's legal fund because they think the McCanns are guilty, then it would be fair to say that British policing is well and truly fucked. That kind of action is not only unprofessional, but would demonstrate that the police we all expect to protect us are as thick as Sh!t. I hope this gets investigated. Murray was asked to back up his claim, but instead gave a pathetic barrage of the puerile retorts for which he is known.

Murray's had a chip on both shoulders since he left the FO under a rather a large cloud and will push any old nonsense as long as he thinks he can stick it to his former employers. He is also well-known to be reality-challenged and something of a grievance monkey. Other organisations besides the FO have rejected him, and he doesn't take it well....he's a notorious dummy spitter.

So, all in all, a perfect idol for the hate squad.

It isn't actually 'his book'. It's the property of the publishers - Gonzo just gets a cut of the sales. And he can scarcely complain about the McCanns damaging him in any fashion, when he is telling any passing Tom, Dick or hater that they can read his opus for free.

I really don't know about this latest court ruling. If you twist your brain there are some things about it that make some sort of sense. But it seems to me that only The Court of Human Rights is going to sort this, and that will take a very long time.

It only makes sense if you think that Gonzo's right to lie and abuse is greater than the rights of the McCann family, and others, to the normal protections of the rule of law in a 21st century supposed democracy, Sabot.

I find it most interesting that the brain-dead Gonzo worshippers don't seem to care that their odious idol is ripping off his own publisher in pursuit of his vendetta.

Such a charmer - not. And yes, all that about people 'learning to respect him' screams thug and bully. What is there to respect about the likes of Gonzo?

I don't think it is that simple, Bonny. This is happening in Portugal, to where The McCanns took their fight. We obviously don't agree with what they have ruled, but never the less they have a right to do so in their own country. Only The ECHR can rule against that. Presuming that Portugal would take any notice.

Everything In Law is open to interpretation. Whose interpretation is the question. And I don't know the answer to that.

You know, all these people proclaiming Craig Murray their latest Messiah would be well advised to read some of the other stuff on his site - as I have been doing, off and on, for years.
