Washington (CNN)Vice President Joe Biden plans to carry his message against sexual assault onto a television episode of the hit series "Law and Order: Special Victims Unit."

The vice president was scheduled to tape his appearance in New York Friday, according to his public schedule. He's seeking to advance his message on winnowing down the backlog of untested rape kits, and more broadly his efforts to end violence against women, the White House said...etc.

Oh. I assumed Crazy Uncle Joe would be appearing as a dirty old man finally brought to justice for serially groping young women.....

The former US secretary of state who has been scorched over her Middle Eastern policy says a "full review" of the issue will be the "first key task" of her presidency.

Mrs Clinton, who has been facing an FBI investigation into the hacking of her email by activists, announced her plans yesterday via her former chief of staff on security.

The UK and US Governments have thus far refused to get involved in a full-on conflict in the country that has been destroyed by civil war since 2011.

Now it seems that despite President Assad's relationship with Russian president Vladimir Putin that Mrs Clinton is intent on escalating the conflict by reviewing her policy with a plan to force him out of office against his will.

Assad, a qualified eye surgeon, has been president of Syria since 2000 and has so far refused to stand down despite worldwide condemnation......etc.

Evil, warmongering bitch - isn't the trail of corpses behind her high enough already?

How on EARTH can these braindead 'feminists' vote for her - have they really no idea what a monster she is? Can't they read - her trail of death and bloodshed is well documented.

Fight with Khan family tests Trump's 'say anything' strategy
NEW YORK (AP) — Donald Trump's presidential bid has thrived on controversy of his own making. Now, the Republican nominee kicks off the first full week of the general election campaign having put his strategy of saying the politically unimaginable to its greatest test yet.

Trump broke a major American political and societal taboo over the weekend when he engaged in an emotionally-charged feud with Khizr and Ghazala Khan, the bereaved parents of a decorated Muslim Army captain killed by a suicide bomber in Iraq. He further stoked outrage by implying Ghazala Khan did not speak while standing alongside her husband at last week's Democratic convention because they are Muslim.

I watched the whole thing, LL, and she didn't speak, she just stood there and glared.



Neither she nor her husband looked 'grief stricken' to me, frankly.

No-one comes out of that episode well, Trump's reply was weak, and Mr Khan and his glaring wife seemed more than happy to use their dead son for the benefit of Hillary Clinton.

It is sometimes possible for both sides of an argument to be in the wrong.....

Oh, and why was Mr Khan having a go at Trump in the first place? If there's one person in this who ISN'T responsible for the war in Iraq, it's Trump.

Trump handled it badly, but the whole manipulated incident leaves a nasty taste.

Well, if you want to play the 'grief stricken' card, LL, it's a good idea not to stand and glare at people...the whole incident was nasty. What was the point of Mr Khan shouting at Trump?

Why not shout at Bush, or Obama, or Hillary, who got countless mother's sons and daughters killed in the countries in which she fomented civil war?

Hillary flat-out lied to the families of the Benghazi victims who died on her watch - why not shout at her?

A bad business all round, IMO.

Well, people see things differently, LL.

I saw a political stunt in which BOTH sides were in the wrong. And away from the media/political chattering classes, I suspect a lot of Americans will quietly fail to be outraged.

From the material concerning Mr Khan's background, career and associates now appearing on the internet, it would seem I was justified in getting an itchy nose.

Even the circumstances of his son's death, due to an IED, do not appear to have been in accordance with best military practise.

It will be interesting to see what else comes out about this political stunt.

e parents of a decorated Muslim Army captain killed in Iraq say they would like to step away from the public feud with Donald Trump that has erupted over their comments about him at the Democratic National Convention.

Khizr Khan and his wife, Ghazala, have made multiple television appearances since last week’s convention, when Khan criticized Trump’s proposal to temporarily ban Muslims from entering the country.

Trump has responded by lashing out at Khan and suggesting that Khan’s remarks were actually prepared by Hillary Clinton’s campaign. Trump also implied Ghazala Khan did not speak at the convention because she was not allowed to speak as a Muslim woman.

Khizr Khan told CNN on Monday that “We want to be out of this controversy. That is not our style…This is not our path.” He said “there was no need” for Trump to comment further, saying, “We want to maintain our dignity.”
