WAS JUNCKER ON THE PEACE? EU chief Jean-Claude Juncker ‘very visibly drunk’ at major UN summit in Geneva
The EU Commission president was branded 'embarrassing' as senior diplomatic sources claimed 'it was clear Juncker was very well refreshed'
EXCLUSIVE

EURO boss Jean-Claude Juncker faced fresh questions over his fitness for office last night as claims emerged he was drunk during a major UN peace summit.
Diplomatic sources have alleged that the EU Commission president was “very visibly pissed” during key talks in Geneva recently over Cyprus.
nternational leaders came together to try to end decades of stalemate over the Mediterranean island, split between Turks and Greeks.
Mr Juncker caused a stir during the conference with his drink-fuelled erratic behaviour. It included collisions with people and furniture, and being very familiar with junior aides.
A diplomatic source told The Sun: “It was clear Juncker was very well refreshed.
“He was bumping around into things, and going up to junior members of staff for conversations.
“It was odd behaviour, and a little bit embarrassing for everyone”.
The allegations are the latest in a long line to hit Mr Juncker over his drinking.....etc.
Juncker should have been sacked long ago, IMO - along with Merkel, he's done more to cause Brexit than Farage ever could.
That horrible, greasy-looking Verhofstadt isn't much better - I wouldn't be at all surprised if we woke up one morning to the news that he's been arrested for molesting children, or something similarly depraved.
And it's astounding that the eurocrats STILL fail to grasp that trying to bully Britain simply won't work - Sturgeon and her ilk, with their noses firmly stuck in the EU trough and to Merkel's backside, are a minority of grovellers.

Oh God, a Green, commonly known as the Gardening Branch of the SNP. Sturgeon is relying on their six list MSPs to prop up her minority government.
Though maybe he or she can't do too much damage on Orkney, maybe stick to what they're supposed to do, like clean up beaches and things?

They're probably OK in small local areas, dealing with local issues, LL, but the six List MSPs are obnoxious and sleekit. They're known as the Watermelon Party - Green outside and Red inside.

Sally Cogley won her seat in Irvine Valley after standing on a platform of ending waste and cleaning up litter from the streets. A candidate for ‘The Rubbish Party’ was elected in East Ayrshire following yesterday’s local elections across the country, setting social media alight.

See, I'd have voted for her - she wants to do something useful, which really will improve people's lives.

Should compare Glasgow result to last 2 years.
2015 SNP got 56%.
2016 SNP got 54%.
2017 SNP get ~40%.
1 in 4 votes lost in a year.
Yup. And it's worse than that outside the Central Belt.

http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/2017/05/07/cancer-patient-stand-against-jeremy-corbyn-protest-against-nhs/
Jeremy Corbyn is facing a potential challenge in his Islington North constituency from a terminally-ill cancer patient campaigning for reform of medical negligence laws to save the NHS millions of pounds.
Despite being confined to bed in her Norfolk home, Susanne Cameron-Blackie is planning to register as an independent candidate in the north London seat for the June 8 General Election.
She told The Mail On Sunday she was taking the stand to raise awareness of the vast sums lost by the NHS due to law suits.
Ms Cameron-Blackie, 68, said she was motivated by her horror at suggestions she should sue over being given insufficiently strong painkillers on a cancer ward last month.
She said: "If I sued, I would be taking away yet more money from the NHS, so making it more likely that a future patient would endure a similar ordeal.
"This is the point Corbyn and Labour don't get.
"They say they are socialists, yet they're doing nothing about a system which treats the NHS as if it were a manufacturer making faulty products, instead of a provider of a vital social good."
She said: "I may be the first parliamentary candidate forced to lie down, rather than stand, for office.
"But I'm determined to do something useful with what's left of my life.
"I'm taking on Corbyn in his political comfort zone. He talks about shaping the future.
"As things stand, the future for the NHS is to vanish up its own backside because of the money going on lawyers and damages."

Defiant: Susanne does not know whether she will survive until Election Day on June 8. But she is determined to use every moment she has left to fight Corbyn

Give the scruffy Marxist git hell, Anna.
And she's right, when things go wrong in the NHS - as is inevitable sometimes in such a huge organisation - decent people want an explanation and an apology, an acceptance of responsibility, not compo money.
Last year, NHS Resolution, the body which handles such claims, revealed that cases arising from incidents up to the middle of 2016 are set to soak up a staggering £56 billion in lawyers’ fees and damages by the time they are settled – half NHS England’s annual budget.
That is an utter disgrace.

Re: Mrs May calls snap General Election
https://reaction.life/snp-nicola-sturgeon-cant-process-thought-theyve-stalled-slide/
The SNP and Nicola Sturgeon can’t process the thought they’ve stalled or are on the slide
This all runs counter to the Nationalist narrative of destiny and imminent success on the constitution
That's quite a good piece on Ms Sturgeon's ongoing downfall.
Plus, she's making the Hillary Clinton Error. All she is interested in is the Glasgow area, but doesn't seem to grasp that it wouldn't make the slightest bit of difference if every single adult in Glasgow voted SNP, she wouldn't get one more MP.
Meanwhile, in the fishing and farming areas, and the small burghs, the SNP have been, well, massacred, and if those results are repeated in the General Election, she's going to lose a good few MPs.
She really shouldn't have backstabbed all those people in the very areas that were the bedrock of SNP support to court the Sinn Fein vote in Glasgow. Most of Scotland is small 'c' conservative, always has been, and folk do NOT live like the denizens of Trainspotting.

Replying to @GlennBBC @Graeme__mcg
If ppl vote like that in #GE2017
SNP=35;
Tory=16;
LD=6;
Lab=1
If 2% SNP->Tory Alex Salmond loses seat
I don't see it coming out quite as spectacularly as that, but I won't be surprised if Sturgeon resigns soon after the GE. And all of her yelling, Toaries! We goat the maist votes in Gesgae! Toaries!!!! is going to help her.
