'Abusive and controlling' chef Robert Trigg is found GUILTY of killing two ex-girlfriends five years apart

A violent boyfriend has been found guilty of killing two girlfriends five years apart after the family of one victim fought a tireless campaign to bring him to justice.

Grinning Robert Trigg is taken into court today before being found guilty of the murder and manslaughter of two ex girlfriends

Robert Trigg, 52, of Worthing, let the children of former partner Caroline Devlin discover their 35-year-old mother's body at their home in Worthing in 2006.

Ms Devlin's death was put down to natural causes, but five years later, Trigg's new girlfriend, Susan Nicholson, also died after spending the night with him.

Trigg claimed Miss Nicholson accidentally died after he rolled on top of her as they slept on the sofa. He was treated more like a 'bereaved partner' than a suspect, his trial heard.     More at link.
