I am glad Kate spoke about the LIE in the press that Madeleine's blood had been found in the apartment; anyone who has read the police files knows it was a LIE, but the pitchforkers keep on repeating it.

They're having some serious blood pressure issues on MM. And The Little Tazzy Angel is in full flight.
Actually, it's time she was in bed, but she wouldn't miss this for the world. I think she likes feeling ill.

Kate has spoken about how scared the twins were of the press intrusion:

Kate is speaking about her diary being illegally leaked and ending up in NOTW. That copy was lifted in its entirety from her own diary.

It had been translated into Portuguese and back again.

Kate very upset by this.

Provinance of diary - the diary was taken from the villa, along with clothes, and returned 24 -48 hours later; photocopies had been taken.

Suggestion original siezure was illegal.

Gerry would like investigation into exactly who did it. Judge wants this followed up, from byline on NOTW.

India sighting - Gerry has confirmed there was a genuine, though mistaken, sighting, and that a photo was sent. Anger over 'amateur sleuthing' by the press endangering Madeleine - if it had turned out to be her, her captors would have been alerted.

The pitchforkers won't like that...they have all convinced themselves it was some sort of plot. Though we did tell them it was a genuine mistake, and that LE knew all about it.

I can only applaud Gerry McCann in particular for his forthright statements over the last two hours; it was upsetting at times to watch, so must have been daunting for the McCanns. It's been long overdue, though it should never have come to this.

It'll take a while for all of today's events to sink in, but I think we can finally say it's over for the pitchforkers, haters, stalkers and ghouls.

I want to know who leaked Kate's Diary Copies. It's obvious where they came from, we just don't know quite who, and I am not sure if we will ever find out. I very much doubt that CdM will be telling.
But it had to be someone in The PJ because no one else had them. That at least has been made plain. But no doubt the Pitch Forkers will find this acceptable practice for a National Police Force.

And you are right, Bonny. They aren't worth worrying about. It isn't as though they are actually influencing anything or making any impression on the public at large. Other than to engender disgust, of course.

There's no doubt about who was responsible for that - Gonc. As was pointed out today, the diary had nothing to do with anything, as it was started weeks after Madeleine's abduction. So, why did Gonc want it? It was clearly returned quickly, but any number of copies could have been made in that time.

And someone in Portugal ignored the judge's order to destroy the copies; wonder who that could have been?

Stunning; so committed to their hatred they can't even grasp that they have just heard the truth, and that everything they think they know is, well, rubbish.

I have to say that I believe that was an excellent presentation of their case by both Kate and Gerry #McCann. Their evidence against the press was devastating in its intensity and breadth.

Unfortunately the #antis are being backed more and more into a corner and are demonstating all the decency of cornered rats fighting for survival.

The media (especially TV) have literally programmes full of footage which will be used over and over in the coming hours and days. Their message is out.

Yes, I noticed that - I suspect it was rather foolish to wreck #Leveson with hatespam yesterday. I can't imagine how draining it was for the McCanns to attend today - but thank the Lord they did. There is simply no excuse for ANYONE to keep recycling old, discredited press stories now - and that includes B$own.

I don't think the full scale of the disaster which has struck their hate campaign has sunk in with the ghouls yet.

They are just going to ignore it like they ignore everything else. No one has actually been taking any notice of them for years now.
