Well, they are really just irritating, background static, aren't they? What is rather more important is that it should mark the end of the road for the likes of Bennett and B$own.

As for Gonc - if the identity of the person in the PJ who illegally siezed and then leaked the diary becomes public knowledge, and his pawprints are anywhere near it, as many suspect, then he can forget the libel trial in February.

He may well be facing more criminal charges by then.

3. It was ordered returned, but by that time, some nasty elements in the PJ had taken photocopies. The photocopies came out in HANDWRITING.

4. A Portuguese judge ordered all copies of it to be destroyed, but some scumbag linked to the PJ sold/passed it to CdM, where translations appeared.

It later appeared in the NOTW.

What is difficult to understand about that? Anyone with an IQ greater than their shoe size should be able to follow it.

Will Scotland Yard be looking into this? They might get some answers from The PJ. Entente Cordial and all that.

That is absolutely typical. It was exactly the same with @Maysey last night who could not understand that to get a match for DNA you had to have something to match it to (the pillowcase). She was claiming that the DNA from the reference pillowcase was proof the PJ had a direct match to Madeleines DNA. She could not grasp that the pillowcase was Maddies DNA to be matched to. I also resorted to the 1), 2), etc. staged explanation but then she claimed I was playing a semantics game. You can't win.

In the name...this one thinks the McCanns were negotiating with NOTW to serialize the findings of the Scotland Yard review.

So the McCs who are complaining about privacy, intrusion of the press, were negotiating with New International via Rebecca Brooks to gain support for a Scotland Yard Review using their Coulson contact, in return it is alleged the McCs would give them serialisation rights, for an inquiry from the public purse at an initial cost of £3.5million the findings of which would not be made public. Is this because it was known the McCs had an agreement with News International to serialise the findings, im sure for free

These are people who had never come across the McCann-haters before, and to a man, they have been revolted and angered by them.

Then, on MM, I saw one of the Truthseekers come out with this gem - 'they' meaning the McCanns, believe it or not.

The McCanns haven't upset any journos - why would they? They finally spoke out about the horrible treatment they got from sections of the press, and 99.999999999% of the population of the UK feels heart-sorry for them tonight.

The remaining tiny, miniscule minority is the whackjobs, conspiraloons and envy-ridden haters on assorted Truthseeking sites, who seem blissfully unaware of the PR disaster that their buddies have caused.

The McCanns' evidence was a searing indictment of the way the media can operate when in full flight.

The couple have suffered in many ways. Their daughter is still missing and in the process of trying to find her they have been damaged by the way their search has been reported. "It's your voice against the powerful media", was how Kate McCann put it.

A new low, after months and months of lows, came when Kate McCann's once private diary was published by the News of the World. The tabloid may have folded, but its publisher isn't off the hook. Lord Justice Leveson wants to know how the paper got hold of words a mother wrote at the "most desperate time" of her life.

The McCanns' motive for giving evidence was a simple one. They don't want others to experience what they experienced after Madeleine disappeared

That'll be the files that make it crystal clear that there was NO 'BODY FLUID' IN THE BOOT OF THE CAR?

Yes, the police, the media, the politicians - all the people who back the McCanns' efforts to find Madeleine, have ALL read the files, as have a great many members of the public.


The only place that happened is in Gonc's sick head; he can explain that to the judge in February.

Can you just imagine the headlines when the information is known?

I suspect that once the identity of whoever did that is known, a lot else will become clear, too, Lily.

Gerry touched on the 'Pact of Silence' nonsense; now, it is no secret that the raddled, addled Cabrita woman invented that out of spite after UK witnesses wisely refused to speak to her.

But - questions have to be asked about how she got what was supposed to be restricted information about witnesses to begin with.

One widely-held 'thesis' is that Gonc accidentally left notes, addresses, phone numbers etc on his desk and Cabrita accidentally saw them when she accidentally went into his office.

For once, it's interesting watching #mccann. Because the Hindley Fan, Ironside, and one or two others wrecked #leveson with their endless hatespam, people who have never come across the pitchforkers before are fetching up on #mccann.

And guess what? They are disgusted by the bile, venom and filth being spouted by the haters and ghouls.
