Male host on about were the PJ unethical in questioning Kate - Brown thinks no. Now she is 'profiling' Murat.

Host - onto men hanging round apartment. Tanner sighting. Isn't abduction as likely as the mcCanns killing their child? Brown says they didn't 'kill' child, covered-up accident.

I can't listen to this any more, she is regurgitating every pitchforker cliche in the book and she's dropping hints to do with doors being left locked/unlocked that night on purpose...

I listened to the end of that, Bonny. As you say, every pitchforker cliche going. The other people could hardly get a word in.

She said nothing new.

She got them in, Jayelles, but Brown steamrollered right over the top of them. I was genuinely shocked by that broadcast- she should never have been allowed to get away with telling outright lies live, on air.

If she had done that in the UK;

a. The interviewer would have stopped her

b. The plug would have been pulled on the show

I shudder to think what could have happened if the host/s hadn't had at least a little ACCURATE AND TRUTHFUL information.

That woman Brown is dangerous to Madeleine from where I am sitting - and it sounded very like she is in contact with the nutjobs in Team Gonc (Portugal division).

If Tricia was not prepared to call Brown out on the outright lies she was telling, she should not have allowed the interview to be broadcast.

I am sure a download of it will be winging its way to a well-known firm of lawyers; I realize the incident occurred under US law, and little can be done about it, but it will all go in the records.

I gave up on the live interview before the end - it was too much like listening to Bennett reciting forum myths and libel in a screechy, harsh, redneck accent.

So, the high spot of the 'profiler's' appearance was her claim that Gerry McCann smuggled the decaying corpse of his young daughter home to the UK in a bag?

Aside from the sheer grotesque ghoulishness of that....strange that no-one noticed the smell and said anything? EasyJet staff didn't think, Phew, what is that horrible smell coming from the McCanns' handluggage!

I know, Brown doesn't 'do' logic.

I understand she believes he first buried her in the hot sand of PdL beach (!) until she was 'mummified' then carried the dessicated body though Customs as then there would be no smell. The fact that the sand in PdL, being on the beach, would be dry for only a short distance down and then wet, there being a small problem of sea-waves seems to have escaped her .... and mummification in sand requires the kind of weather and desert found in places like Egypt. Oh, but there is also the 'bush meat' smuggling as her reason why this would be entirely feasible. LL]

not to mention, being dug up again for transportation back to the UK in Easyjet hand luggage?

2. Has she somehow failed to notice that PDL is on the Atlantic, and that the tide goes in and out a couple of times a day?

As far as I know, cold salty water in no way aids the mummification process.....

The reason why mummification happened originally was because the Egyptians and other nomadic tribes buried their dead in the sand, hot and dry, the nearest water being the Nile, too far away to saturate the sand. You may have noticed, as PB didn't, that PdL has a continental climate which means moist at certain times of the year, let alone the saline content of the Atlantic Ocean. And as bonny says, no-one noticed a lump of the beach had been dug up? The woman is seriously deranged!! LL

Stuff can sound good or true if one does not really have the original to examine. My comment on Jayelle's rebuttal is to that issue; if you haven't read my book, how can you see if her rebuttal is on target or not? Kind of like only hearing one side in the courtroom and believing it without argument.
