They probably never had any intention of going, Sabot. But they shouldn't troll threats. Basher was likely living up to her name, but it backfired on her, big time. I doubt the press and cops have finished with her yet, either.

They seem to be missing a rather important point.

In the year 2013, the public, press and police do not find threats from rather unpleasant obsessives to disrupt public events, and shoot people, as in the least bit funny.

If she'd done this in the States, the whole lot of them would be cooling their heels in a cell already.

Madeleine McCann Case: Kate McCann Receives Death Threats ahead of London Marathon

Kate McCann, the mother of Madeleine McCann, a young girl who went missing in 2007, has received death threats on the social networking website Facebook. The 46-year-old McCann is due to compete in the London Marathon in April.

The Sun reports the comments were made under the name Sheila Basher and read, apparently in response to an earlier post: "Well I am going to, Anyone (sic) got a Gun? BBBangggggg?"

Another reads: "What would really spook her is if she is surrounded by a group all wearing Madeleine face masks."

Police have opened an investigation into the threats, which, The Sun says, have been registered as death threats. Scotland Yard have also been notified of the threats and a spokesperson confirmed they too were investigating the posts.

McCann is planning to take part in the marathon to raise money for the charity Missing People and sources close to her say the threats will not dissuade her from competing.

Meanwhile, the McCann family spokesman, Clarence Mitchell, said: "It is a disgrace that people can say such things around an event which is designed to help others. The trouble is that it is very hard to stop these people. They hide away behind their computer screens, blogging away."

That is EXACTLY what it is, IMO. It's the kind of 'joke' that's landed a good few in jail. Especially when taken together with schemes to disrupt the London Marathon.

James Arbuthnot Remember that they are fit so will run fast. Probably better to have individuals around the route, joined by radios to say where they are, handing out leaflets as they pass, also to the Press as she is being interviewed at the end.

I would think that's pretty good evidence that they were planning to disrupt the London Marathon.

Frustration? What? Frustration because they can't find any evidence to convict a couple of innocent people? I am worried about their perverted desires dragged out of thin air in the first place. Their Frustration can only get worse, and consequently their desire to issue death threats. Someone needs to put a stop to this before something serious happens.

Today's meme seems to be that it was taken out of context.

Really? Let's look at the context.

The context is that a group of McCann-hating obsessives were discussing ways in which to disrupt the London Marathon and attack one of the competitors, the mother of a missing child who is running to raise money for charity.

The person who wanted a gun is so obsessed with hating, she paid for a taxi from Cornwall to London to support the leader of an organised campaign against the McCann family in court.

Her hero has previously stalked Mr McCann in parliament, and the hospital he works in. He has previously stalked many people who support the McCanns and taken his obsession almost to the McCanns' own doorstep.

And his number one fan was asking for a gun when discussing ways to disrupt the London Marathon

That's the context. Anyone laughing?

How can you take an entire Thread out of context?
Taking a Taxi from Cornwall to London to support Head Hounder, Mr. Bennett, seems a mite extreme even for a thoroughly committed Pro. So I'm not wearing that one.
And as for The Starting Pistol, it won't even get off the starting block. Although I have to say that you can do a bit of damage with one of those if you want to.

There isn't a word in her apology about 'starting pistols' is there? No, the 8rs just invented that, as they invent so much else.

I have only seen two in that camp condemn it outright. One on not-Bennett's site, and the other was Textusa. Who may be barking mad, but has sufficient manners to know that some things are just not acceptable.

The rest have all invented excuses for the inexcusable.
