Not Guilty.

One thing that struck me - the prosecutor attempted to paint Roache's perfectly polite reply to some fanmail, decades ago, as 'grooming'.

The anything fits brigade, Bonny?  

Where did honor and decency go which was the hallmark of the British Justice System?

It is suggested by various sections of the gutter press that one of the ladies is contemplating a civil action against Roache (apparently prompted by her husband)

The writing was on the wall, IMO, when the law was changed for political reasons over the Lawrence case.

Somehow, you can't help dreaming about vultures like him getting swallowed by sinkholes.   

The Jury is taking an awful long time. Obviously not cut and dried.

Former Radio 1 DJ Dave Lee Travis has been found not guilty of 12 charges of indecent assault.

However the jury failed to return verdicts on one charge of indecent assault and one of sexual assault.

Prosecutors must now decide whether to pursue a retrial on those two charges.

Travis pleaded not guilty on all 14 counts, which date back to 1976 and stretch over 30 years


M  T will be beside himself.

What are they trying to do? If they can be successful in these going back to l976 then what next......throw away the Statute of Limitations on all crimes?

But they aren't being successful, Lily, juries are throwing their rubbish out. I shudder to think how much this empire-building by Yewtree and the hangers-on is costing.

A lot of evidence? One of them threw a wobbly because he put his hand on her knee.

Does MTW project his fantasies onto the people he accuses?

I saw that, Sabot - and I didn't believe it. My recollection of those more robust times is that females wouldn't hesitate to tell any bloke trying it on to get their paws off, followed by a slapped face if the culprit didn't de-paw.

I liked the bit when the Chuckle Brothers got involved, though.

Will they risk a retrial on those two counts do you think? Personally I doubt it.

I wouldn't like to guess, Sabot. They thought they were building a profitable little empire for themselves, but it's all crumbled when faced with juries. It depends whether those that take the decision are guided by common sense and the law, justice, etc., or by rage, bitterness and a desire for revenge on the people who have been so inconsiderately cleared in court.
