Might be an idea for all those who have fallen for hysterical headlines involving banks to watch that and grasp what is REALLY happening.
Oh, and for the news that there's going to be an investigation into the recent conduct of the BBC regarding privileged information and the financial market.

Scotland's First Secretary Alex Salmond has engaged in a heated press conference exchange with BBC News political editor Nick Robinson, who repeatedly asked him to answer his question on independence's potential impact on banking relocations.
Mr Robinson spoke out as Mr Salmond concluded his initial answer with an appeal to the BBC to name a Treasury source who he alleges briefed journalists on "market sensitive information" about Royal Bank of Scotland.
Mr Salmond said he has written to the Cabinet Secretary to demand an investigation into the apparent leaking of information about RBS.

The BBC has been absolutely appalling, Lily, real Goebells School of Propaganda stuff. Their reporters and anchors have been rude, not just biased, but downright bigoted, several times they have broadcast outright lies as fact....to think it was once respected!
Sky isn't too bad, just, well, bewildered, but not outright nasty. They would have saved themselves a lot of grief if they'd read the near-700 page manifesto from the Scottish government when it came out last year. Instead, they're trying to catch up in a matter of days.
Kay Burley's a bit condescending, but then, she always is. At least Sky is trying.

Quite, Lily. There needs to be a clean-up in all the corridors of power.
I did have a look at what the US was saying about all this - CNN were taking comments. It started sensibly, then turned into an argument about whether or not Texas should secede.

It seems to be catching, the Basque Country, Catalonia, Cornwall and Erdély (Transylvania, now part of Romania) are all making noises re autonomy or statehood. The last one is predominately Hungarian but they have very few rights, the Hungarian language is restricted and the indigenous Szekely are treated as second class citizens in their own lands. LL

Smaller government, closer to the voters, works better, IMO, LL. Apart from anything else, it's harder to get up to no good if politicians are under close scrutiny near home.

He said Scotland was among the 20 wealthiest countries in the world, adding: “Most sensible people now accept that Scotland would be prosperous with either outcome in the current constitutional debate.
Mr Gilbert also dismissed suggestions from the Bank of England governor Mark Carney that a currency union was incompatible with national sovereignty.

It announced its decision in May and has had its sales take off ever since, rising by almost 25%, while all the others have lost circulation.
Its editor, Richard Walker, said: "I made the decision because I thought it was the right one, not to win sales. It could have gone either way."
