Re: More Barrel-scraping as Gonc discusses psychics and soil probes, LOL
I actually cannot think of words to describe this debacle....Portimao's Top Tec (ex) sounds as if he is quoting from Pitchforking for Beginners.
That he can actually stand there and say, on camera:
this door would be a more obvious away to exit.
without it ever dawning on him that, well, maybe it WAS the exit the abductor used, just...beggars belief.
I should think Sadie is shouting loudly enough to be heard on the Algarve by now.

I haven't taken in the full horror of it yet, Tony - I shudder to think how it is going to end.

Do you think he might have a meltdown in the Courtroom? What's he going to do when The Lovely Sofia appears.
Erm. Have I got the right Trial? He's got so many I'm losing track.

Lovely Sofa and his brother are Marcos' witnesses in the upcoming case Gonc has brought howling about his honour, Sabot.
Libelling the McCanns is the other one.
He may well, of course, melt down on both occasions on this showing.

It is getting confusing. I thought she was appearing in the Bennett divorce case or was that postponed because he is seeking an annulment from the Pope?

Yes Sabot, she is a witness in Marcos's trial against Amaral.Sabot wrote:

I wouldn't even risk saying that as a joke, greenink, the way they are all behaving.
And I have this nagging feeling that there's a court case I've forgotten about.

Re: More Barrel-scraping as Gonc discusses psychics and soil probes, LOL
With us, and no doubt Myths, having thoroughly disproved Pat Browns nonsense in completely ignoring the front door, at least Amaral is mentioning the front door now. Guess he had to, or he would lose face.
But, what a hoot! ... only for one way, was it in or out? .. cant remember. What an absolute load of rubbish.
Oh, yeah, Right! The door was only used to get out. The window might have been used to get in, but that was very exposed, so would not have been used at all [psst... is that last bit is coming later, sometime?
Does Gonc has to prove his theory that Madeleine did NOT leave 5A alive ?... so will it come sometime? ... will he be barefaced enough? Surely you wouldn't be that barefaced, would you Gonc?].
Ah, so nobody was involved with a key from OC then? ... cos entrance would have been via the window? But there were absolutely no fibres, or marks on the window, or sill, that is except for Kates.... you said that yourself Hahahaha. This all seems so predictable., Gonc. Wonder if we can guess what is coming later?
Oh and in any case it was too exposed.
Er.... You and Pat proved that .... er didn't you?
So why didn't s/he, the lifter, go in by the front door Gonc? That was completely hidden and in deep shadow.
You dont mind my calling you Gonc, do you? It is more endearing than Amaral, isn't it?
The front door was the sort of place any felon would use. Dark and totally hidden with nobody passing. Number one choice.
Also there was a history of very recent entry in the same block of flats via the front doors using presumably a key. Cos no damage to the door done.
So have we established that someone from OC with a key was involved? In and out by the front door? It is by far the easiest, and safest; it makes sense. Key used to open and close the door, so no finger prints? The window doesn't really work, does it Gonc? Neither in, nor out. Do you agree Gonc?
Cheers

HC: As the investigators put it, no one enters through a door and then exits through a window!
GA: It is a fact and if you watch closely, the door it is less exposed than the window. It would be much more spectacular to exit through the window rather than the door, which is rather more hidden, more receded than the window. Therefore, this door would be a more obvious away to exit.

That door is the elephant in the room, IMO, and Gonc can't - or won't - see it.

The parents room, Tony, opened on to the patio at the top of the steps, at the back of the flat. It overlooked the tapas area. and was to the left of the main patio doors as you came up the steps. The bedroom also had patio doors, but a bush in front, so the view of the tapas outdoor restaurant was somewhat blocked from there.
Antis took lots of photos from these bedroom patio doors, with the bush in front claiming that the view was blocked. That was a falsification of facts. Because from where we sat at the tapas the view was near perfect with almost all the main patio door and step balistrade visible. There was a wide expanse of railings in front of the main patio doors and we could see virtually down to the ground level
The Mccanns were a couple of metres over to the west from our position. We went in the summer of 2010
There are so many disgustingly false views from various places at the tapas, that a complete injustice has been done to the McCanns

Yep, best way home in the daylight, but what woman is going to walk an ill lit alleyway at night?HC: So, this was usually the service entrance; the street access of apartment 5A, right?
GA: Exactly, the apartments, or rather the manner in which that group of tourists entered their apartments was from the rear; both the McCann couple as well as the others, which were on the ground-floor, on the other side. This raises questions such as… The path that is there [pointing towards the alleyway] was the one used by the other members. When Jane Tanner said that she goes up the street, and walks around in order to go home, that to us rings hollow because this was the usual pathway.

Thanks to the Mccannfiles
This, Tony, demonstrates our view from the outside tapas, but in the reverse direction. This is taken from outside the main living room patio doors. You will see 5A juts out a bit at the RH side of the photo, and the patio becomes quite narrow there. The jutting out bit is the side at the back of K&G's bedroom; the slim bit of patio is the bit outside their bedroom patio doors. You will see a bush in front of their miniscule patio. That bush is prevalent on many anti photos, blocking the line of sight ... deliberatelY?. The view from the main patio doors is that which is the main view in the picture, but from the opposite direction from where K&G sat
Before I start, I want to make it clear that this photograph was taken after considerable growth on the bushes had enlarged them. Foliage grows like magic in the PT climate. They had been clipped right back just before the McCanns visit. that is documented, I believe. They were also pretty well clipped back when we visited.
Now,
You will see part of the pool, just the eastern end of it. Behind that, there appear to be three big picture windows. Those are the plastic windows of the outside tapas.
We sat in the middle section and had a view over the pool, but towards its edge. Kate and Gerry sat in the next section to the right, somewhere behind the uprights of the trees.
Their view would not have been as good as ours, at a guess, but with that bush pruned right back at the start of the season, it would have shown most of the patio doors, imo.
All the photos are deceptive in that the whole place is very cozy, not vast as it appears .. and we were only 50 metres away, measured on GEarth. K&G maybe an odd metre further.
Using my GEarth image (thanks to you, Tony) you will see the relative positions. Please bear in mind that GE is looking in the reverse direction to this photograph
The deep pink line shows where many anti photographs were taken from. They are falsehoods, taken from the extreme end of the main Tapas. The McCanns, like us, were in the outside tapas, not the main tapas and much closer with little visual interference..
As you will see from the photograph, the view from the main tapas is virtually non-existent. The main tapas is the red roof peeping above the bush outside K&G's bedroom. The antis had a field day posting photos from the wrong places. It was so unjust.

Re: More Barrel-scraping as Gonc discusses psychics and soil probes, LOL
Thanks, Sadie, some useful info there....
More from Gonc:
Following
Yet he chooses to walk the longest path [round gesture with extended arm], to open the door [main entrance] with the key.
we now have:
There is a report from Control Risks6, the first private detective agency which was brought to the case [by the McCanns] in the very first days, where they state, after speaking with Gerald McCann and other witnesses in that group [Tapas 9], that the key that Mr. Gerald McCann alleges to have used had in fact been left in the kitchen, in the kitchen’s counter. Right away, the lies started. Moreover, in order to have an abductor he would have had to enter through here [sliding doors]. Apart from the fact that there are no traces of a break-in, there aren't any fingerprints, he could have used gloves for example, in any case the entry would have to be done through here. There are no signs of a forced entry anywhere; not in the door nor in the window. There is a simulation, as if someone wishes to make others believe that the bedroom window was the passage point of the child, which, in our firm belief, could not have taken place.
HC: The parents have said that they were able to keep an eye on the apartment from the restaurant [Tapas] but that is hard to see how, particularly bearing in mind that it was night. Gonçalo Amaral, Dr. Moita Flores, said a few days ago, publicly, that it is his profound belief that Maddie likely died in this apartment, what is your conclusion?
GA: My conviction is identical, based on the evidence.
