Frankly, I hope this is MWT's downfall. No names have been mentioned anywhere else, just by him on bl**dy twitter. It has certain parallels with Lord McAlpine, IMO.

I've removed the name, because as far as I can make out, the person named by MWT has not been charged with anything, and his name has not been released by the REAL police.

I do hope he takes MWT to the cleaners for this.

You've no need to apologise, Sabot, the fault is mine. I posted the original tweet, without realising what MWT had done.

Apparently, Lord Leveson has recommended that names of people arrested or questioned should not be released by The Police. I most definitely agree with this. The Press go loopy until someone is charged, after which they have to shut up. It's almost as though they are in a panic to write as much shite as possible and make as much money as possible before the clamp comes down.
And how are the public going to be harmed if they don't know exactly who these people are?
On this occasion The Police haven't released his name, all of which is a reason for why I should have known better, Bonny. Especially in a gratuitous attempt to get at the nasty little scroat. And I don't much care if she does read this.

As far as I can make out, Sabot, the man he named hasn't been charged with anything, named by the police - nothing.

The only assumption I can make is that MWT did it on purpose, to smear someone by associating him with Savile.

In which case, it's backfired badly.

It is sickening, Bonny. Although I don't think anyone can sue just for being named. Mark Williams Thomas did it to attract attention to himself and his obscene interest in all things Paedophilic, in some attempt to make money and a reputation for himself. He has no integrity whatsoever, and woe betide anyone who depends on his support. He will drop anyone like a hot brick as soon as they are no longer of any use to him.

He may find his TV career short lived. There are plenty more where he came from.

MWT is a shyster - In My Humble Opinion, of course.

He has to have done that on purpose - either that, or he has about as much grasp of the law as pretendypete.
