Frankly, any sane person (which lets Zoe Pillock out) reading that correspondence is LESS likely to think Sir Jimmie did anything much more than inappropriate touching of groupies. He sounds almost child-like himself.

Two Men Held In Jimmy Savile Abuse Probe

Police investigating the Jimmy Savile abuse scandal arrest two men, aged 53 and 59, on suspicion of sexual offences.

Two men have been arrested by detectives investigating the Jimmy Savile abuse scandal.

A 53-year-old was held in Hampshire at around 8am and a 59-year-old in west London at around midday, both on suspicion of sexual offences.

The allegations are not directly linked to Savile, the Metropolitan Police said.

Scotland Yard is leading a national investigation into allegations against disgraced television presenter Savile and a number of other high-profile figures.

They have separated the inquiry into three strands: claims against Savile, those involving Savile and others, and those involving others. The latest arrests fall under the "others" strand.

So far, officers have questioned 10 people including former pop star Gary Glitter, comedian Freddie Starr and PR guru Max Clifford.

Last month police said a total of 31 allegations of rape had been made against former Top Of The Pops presenter Savile, who died in October 2011.

Some 589 people have come forward with information relating to the scandal, with a total of 450 complaints against the BBC presenter and DJ, mainly alleging sexual abuse.

Detectives have recorded 199 crimes in 17 force areas in which Savile is a suspect.

It's bad writing, Pedro, and all too common these days.

These two men are, IMO, too young to have had anything to do with Savile. The only good thing is that the police - and Mark William Thomas - have stopped giving out names of people they are speaking to.

It was feeding the hysterical mob, who couldn't grasp that being arrested and interviewed did NOT mean someone was guilty.

Guilt is for a court to decide.

Well, MWT said he was, so it must be true.

It's interesting that the steam seems to have gone out of MWT's campaign against - I am none too sure what. Are the police going to reveal what actual evidence they found against Savile, or is it just going to sink into a grey area, with no-one knowing the actual truth?

I noticed, on Anna Raccoon's blog a few weeks ago, that information debunking the Duncroft allegations had been passed to the police. That is interesting.

Go back to the beginning of all this. Rantzen claimed that one of the reasons she believed the Duncroft lot was that they all said the same thing....

Now, anyone with a working brain cell knows that witnesses SHOULDN'T all be singing from the same songsheet.

And it turned out that they had been working on their script on assorted social sites, screenshots of were passed to the police.

Heaven knows how this is all going to end.

I don't suppose that anyone is going to admit that a Duncroft Old Girl of some note blew the whistle on false allegations.
The Police and The Media are still churning out the politically correct version with not a hint of malfeasance.

At least the police have calmed down, and have stopped giving those loopy press conferences about how they were going to be arresting half the male population of the UK.

Three months on and what has happened? Not a lot, really. They may have netted one or two contemporary sex pests, which no-one will object to, but as for all those threats about household names - it just hasn't happened.

I will be surprised if any of this reaches court. Apart from Glitter, who should be arrested for breathing, disgusting creature.

What does annoy me is that attempts to get to the bottom of persistent stories about abuse in children's homes, especially in North Wales, appear to have hit a brick wall after Lord McAlpine was so horribly targeted.

It's all being swept back under the carpet, as is Rochdale.

And I see the latest arrestee has been named by a blogger who clearly has total contempt for legal process.

Have they learned nothing?

Comedian Jim Davidson has reportedly been arrested by police investigating the Jimmy Savile abuse allegations.

It is understood he is one of two men arrested today on suspicion of sexual offences as part of Operation Yewtree.

Both individuals fall under the strand of the investigation termed 'others' and the Metropolitan Police said the allegations are not linked to Savile.

Officers said a 53-year-old was held in Hampshire at around 8am and a 59-year-old in west London at around midday.

Sky News attempted to contact Davidson's agent but we were forwarded to his solicitors. We have not yet received a reply.

From what I can make out, Maggs, this one seems to another Historic Bum-touching allegation, nothing noncy.

The way this is going, it is going to be a badge of honour to get arrested by the 'Savile cops'.

There certainly doesn't seem to be much light being shed on the more serious allegations involving children.

The comedian Jim Davidson has released a statement saying he "vigorously denies" allegations made against him following his arrest by police investigating the Jimmy Savile scandal.

His solicitor Henri Brandman said the allegations date back "approximately 25 years" when both of the female complainants were in their mid-twenties.

Mr Davidson, 59, is one of two men arrested on suspicion of sexual offences as part of Operation Yewtree.

Both suspects were released on bail and are due to return to their respective police stations in March, a Metropolitan Police statement said.

The lawyer, who is representing 55 Savile victims in civil claims, wants the estate to claw back any money that can be traced for his victims.

He says pay Savile earned while at institutions including the BBC, during which time he was allegedly abusing victims, should be classified as “proceeds of crime”.

He is demanding that the cash be handed back to his estate to be used as compensation.

Liz Dux, of ­London-based ­Russell, Jones and Walker solicitors, which is representing another 45 victims of Savile in civil law suits, welcomed any new probe.

She told The Sunday Mirror: “The ­victims of Savile would welcome any new investigation into his financial ­accounts. It may be that £4.3million will not satisfy all the claims against his estate and any more funds would be an added bonus.”

She added: “Certainly there is some personal satisfaction for them in the knowledge that in some form or another he will have to pay.”

Ms Dux added that any new money for the Savile estate would not deflect claims against the BBC, NHS and charites.

No, Savile will NOT 'have to pay' - it seems to have escaped their notice, but he is DEAD.

He is going to stay DEAD. There are no pockets in a shroud.

The people who are going to 'have to pay' are the licence-payers, taxpayers, charities, and the disabled - that is who is going to 'have to pay'.

I hope MWT and the rest of the witch-hunters are proud of themselves; pity they hadn't shown so much concern about Rochdale, etc., but I guess there's no mega-bucks to be had from PROVEN child abusers who happen to be Asian taxi-drivers.

Are they going to want the house and the gifts Jimmy Savile paid for to his Aunt? Or was it his Granny? She'll be dead, I expect, so who got her ill gotten gains?

She is going to have to prove him Guilty before anyone gets anything. And I can't see that happening.

Didn't we say this was about money, right at the very start? No wonder they waited till he was dead. That they can even think about taking money away from charities disgusts me - what good do they think that will do? It may make their ambulance-chasers very happy, but it is not going to do one damned thing to help children who are being abused right this minute.

It is, IMO, going to do appalling damage to genuine victims.

If this lot want money, they are going to have to go to court, where their stories will be shredded, as they already have been on the internet.

People lying about being abuse victims to take money away from charities - how do they think that's going to be seen by the public? Reading round the papers, it's pretty clear the public are sick to death of the whole thing already.

It's being openly called a witch-hunt in the press now. Maybe it's time someone investigated Mark Williams Thomas - those quickest to accuse others often have a lot to hide themselves.
