Re: Bizarre events in Cipriano torture case
Tut tut. On her blog, Morais has told the shrooms:
This is what a psychological assessment said about Leonor Cipriano:
I am not repeating the cod-psychology. Suffice to say, if any of the shrooms were of sufficient enterprise to actually read court documents for themselves, then they would know that the high-falutin' 'psychological assessment' was actually based on such things as wearing red trousers....
They would also know who wrote it. None other than Gonc Stooge Sargento, another one who is never away from Dear Julia's daytime telly couch, on the TV station run by Gonc Stooge Carvalho.
Do the Gonc cult not start to smell any kind of rat? No clues that there is something very wrong about this case, as there is with so much else involving Gonc and the Stooges?

Re: Bizarre events in Cipriano torture case
But even if Leonor Cipriano is acquitted it won't be any form of real punishment to these people.
Sabot, she has absolutely nothing to lose, so I hope she names names all over again in court.
Have you noticed, the Gonc cult are determined to muddy the waters by claiming that this vile, cowardly behaviour was somehow 'justified'? Totally ignoring the fact that at the time she was tortured, Leonor Cipriano was legally an innocent woman? Not that the PJ should be torturing anyone to 'solve' crimes...
No country can call itself a democracy when they put proven torture victims on trial for identifying their torturers inaccurately.
Go back to what FSoares said to Bennett:
He once implied he had a very good knowledge about Joana's case and also about the details of the alleged 'torture' commited by the officers who were brought from Lisbon, under Amaral's orders.
Gonc knows who he imported from Lisbon; why isn't he in the dock for withholding evidence?

Re: Bizarre events in Cipriano torture case
I never thought for a minute in the beginning that I would still be here six years on. And I almost certainly would not have been if weren't such a horror story.
Most of the people I know have absolutely no idea of the appalling things that are still coming out. But what can anyone do other than to keep on plugging away?

It is unbelievable to think that that was allowed in Portugal. Barbaric, sick monsters to do that.

Re: Bizarre events in Cipriano torture case
In the real world, her memories of events are similar to those of other torture victims - though she seems to be the only one in 21st century, supposedly democratic Europe. The mind does shut down the worst of it, and to claim otherwise is perverse and sadistic.
That Portugal could allow this case to go ahead disgusts me; it's like discovering the Inquisition or Gestapo is still flourishing, behind the scenes.

In Russia they have just put a dead man on trial - maybe it has something to do with a past that was either commie or fascist? LLlily wrote:It is unbelievable to think that that was allowed in Portugal. Barbaric, sick monsters to do that.

What it tells me is that there are elements in Portugal who are terrified of the truth about this matter coming out, and have reverted to fascist intimidation to try to stop people speaking out, LL.
They wouldn't be acting in this barbaric manner if they didn't have something to hide, IMO.

Re: Bizarre events in Cipriano torture case
There does appear to be some perverse law in Portugal that allows people to sue for Defamation, either when there is none, or when a Case to Answer in a Court has been found by The Judiciary, albeit possibly unproven.
Anyone remember The Portuguese Nasties screaming that being made an Arguido almost certainly meant you were Guilty?
They seem to have dropped that one after The Gonc Crowd got into so much trouble.
But Leonor Cipriano is on Trial for Perjury when she personally did not name the torturers. And she certainly wasn't lying about the torture itself. So exactly what is she being tried for?

Speaking out? It makes one wonder how many other people have had this treatment at the hands of bad elements in the PJ, but have been scared to speak out.
No doubt Tavares de Almeida thought Virgolino Borges would be too scared to tell the world what had been done to him in PJ custody - look how long it took to get that case into court, and de Almeida convicted.
The group around Gonc seem to do it without a second's thought, which has to give rise to questions about just how many people have been tortured in custody, but been too scared to whistleblow.

Re: Bizarre events in Cipriano torture case
I'm beginning to wonder, just who Cristovao has dossiers on, in this Faro court. Gonc always seems to get away with his crimes in this court.
Why haven't they got the judge in court that found Gonc and Cristovao guilty? Surely there should have been a trial to overturn his decision, before this could go ahead.
They might just as well get rid of the AG too, he's either a waste of space or scared sh*t of these crooks.
I'm contacting as many people as possible over this.

Re: Bizarre events in Cipriano torture case
Question.
Why on earth would Leonor Cipriano know the names of her torturers? We know from FSoares' pm to Bennett that Gonc brought them down from Lisbon (wasn't too far to travel that night, was it?).
They were strangers to her, and they had wrapped bags around her head so she couldn't see them properly.
So, what exactly is it she is on trial for, as Sabot asks. Surely it should be Gonc in the dock for withholding evidence?

Good, I hope everyone is doing the same. I just cannot believe this is happening in a European democracy, it's as if Portugal has reverted to being a police state.

#mccann Anyone got a list of Forensics taken in Cipriano case?
She'll have a long wait, as Gonc didn't actually bother doing any of that boring, 'investigating' stuff.

Re: Bizarre events in Cipriano torture case
It is sometimes almost too difficult to explain how one feels about all of this. Like I don't have the words to express my horror. And nor do I know what to do about it. The frustration is enormous.
Amnesty International have no real power, no matter how hard they try. Only Portugal can do anything, but they don't seem to want to.

Re: Bizarre events in Cipriano torture case
IMO, they are scared, Sabot - this is Portugal's very own Dreyfuss scandal, and the more Portugal tries to keep a lid on it, the worst they are making things.
This court case is barbaric, and should not be happening in any country that calls itself a democracy.

Rosalinda V. Hutton @RosalindaHu
@RosalindaHu @wotsbutlerdoing @Pheobus1 @wicatty009 #mccann what justice system (worldwide) would find her innocent?
Jesus H. Christ, any system where the police have to provide actual evidence, not crap about red trousers. It wouldn't even have got over the prosecutor's desk in the States.
This is an illustration of just how easy it is to get not-very-bright, poorly-read, people to believe utter rubbish.
I don't think a single one of them have done any proper reading about the case, or the split in the judges, or about Portuguese public opinion away from the Gonc die-hards. That lot are STILL quoting Gonc's ghoulish inventions, despite all that having been thrown out by the Appeal Court.
Why Morais and co bother pretending Portugal had anything resembling a 'revolution', carnation or otherwise, I do not know. Their thinking doesn't seem to have changed one bit since Fascism supposedly fell.

Sabot, I actually cannot believe the garbage they are coming out with in defence of their beloved Big Rock. They're like a bunch of sheep. The PROOF of what he is is all over the internet - and they won't even look at it and try to comprehend the evil they are defending.

Re: Bizarre events in Cipriano torture case
Stunning, the way the Gonc cult are denying the truth. This is just one of dozens of reports about Gonc's perjury conviction:
http://www.express.co.uk/news/uk/102810/McCann-detective-guilty-of-perjury
What, do they think making false statements and lying on oath isn't perjury if Gonc does it? Mad and delusional, the lot of them.

JillyCL @JillyCL
@wotsbutlerdoing We don't want a link to Amnesty, they only report what #McCann PRopagandists have told them. Link to a court case only.
MWAHAHAHAHAHHAHA
So the McCanns are so powerful, if they tell Amnesty International something, Amnesty just reports it without checking? Why, those McCanns must be the most powerful people on earth, more powerful than Putin, any head of a banana republic, more powerful than China, Japan or the States!
Stunning, the lengths this lot are going to to avoid facing the truth.

Re: Bizarre events in Cipriano torture case
http://news.sky.com/story/694940/madeleine-cop-gets-suspended-sentence
A Portuguese police chief who previously ran the Madeleine McCann inquiry has been given a suspended jail term over an unrelated case.
Goncalo Amaral was convicted of perjury after an alleged attack on the mother of another missing girl.
He was among five officers of the Policia Judiciara in Portimao accused of "scenes of aggression" against Leonor Cipriano, whose nine-year-old daughter, Joana, vanished in September 2004.
Three officers were cleared of torture but Mr Amaral was found guilty of falsifying documents and given an 18-month suspended sentence.
Plenty more where they came from; there's loads on mccannfiles.
