North Korea today released photographs of Kim Jong Un inside his military command centre signing the order to put rockets on standby to attack the U.S. mainland.
The pictures, which appeared in the state-run Rodong newspaper, show Kim surrounded by his generals, large-scale maps and diagrams during an 'emergency meeting' at an undisclosed location.
A chart marked 'U.S. mainland strike plan' appears to show missile trajectories that the NK News web site estimates targets Hawaii, Washington DC, Los Angeles and Austin, Texas.

I am sure everyone was in awe of his 'command centre', which appears to be an old Space Invaders console....

My daughter, normally resident in S Korea as most of you know, has decamped yet again to Japan. She would be in great danger if the NKs were to invade the south as she has 2 adopted N Korean children, smuggled into the south when their parents were 'disappeared' into a NK concentration camp. Her opinion on all this is that Fatty is all mouth and nae knickers, he's trying to show his superiority to the S Korean's new president, who happens to be a woman and whose parents were assassinated by N Korean agents. There have been quite a few comments from Asia regarding Fatty and his mouth and most seem to think that there is no way NK could go to war with the US who have enough hardware to pulverise the whole country. The Chinese who normally support NK are getting sick and tired of his destabilising the area which they look on as their sphere of influence. And the Russkies ain't too amused either!!!! LL

Now, if I was the Russian, or more particularly Chinese, government, several of those generals trying to look impressed with Young Fat One would already be in my pocket, with the promise of more to come....

I'm sorry for the people of North Korea, being stuck with a dynasty of dictators - I am sure they would be delighted to join the rest of the world, and follow South Korea, or China's, example, and make lots of money.

The Chinese have already shown their displeasure by siding with the US etc on the last set of sanctions, something they have not done before. The workers, soldiers, students etc are ordered to make the demonstrations as shown on NK TV yesterday and today; there is no such thing as democracy or right of dissent in NK, you do as you are told or you disappear. The people there are dying like flies of starvation, sickness etc as every last Chosun Won is spent on the military and the weapons. LL

My daughter says it's like Dante's Inferno there. She says the NKs who escape, and they are but a trickle, are so demoralised they are mere shadows of themselves. Imagine one giant concentration camp, regimented to the nth degree, no dissent, no questions allowed, just blind obedience to a fat greasy little turd. The fat leader cannot do anything without his Military Chief of staff. He who controls the military, controls the country.

Yesterday, both China and Russia asked for all sides to co-operate to prevent the situation worsening, with Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov voicing particular concern.

"We can simply see the situation getting out of control, it would spiral down into a vicious circle," Mr Lavrov told journalists.

Here's hoping China arranges for the Dear Leader to fall off his unicorn, or something. A month's spontaneous national mourning would give them time to set up electronic factories, casinos, multi-nation banks, McDonalds and all the other Western decadencies which have proved so popular in the rest of Asia....

I have just watched Arirang TV, which is S Korea's English TV station, and the NK news only made it to 4th segment, with remarks about NK bombast and rhetoric being par for the course. They don't seem to be too fazed by the shrieking coming from Pyongyang. LL

Latest from the Korean Peninsula us that the industrial complex, run jointly by the SKs and the NKs is, despite NK threats to close it down, still up and running. LL

Today's latest is that the industrial complex is still up and running. The SK President has promised a firm response if NK does attack and the US has sent F-24 fighters to show a militarily superior face to the NK. The rhetoric seems to have slowed a bit; Fatty called the US a 'bloated pumpkin' over the weekend and SK politicians are beginning to say that the rhetoric is now starting to resemble the kind Fatty's pa and grandpa used to use. It seems to be the consensus that Fatty is trying to get the army behind him and also give the impression to the poor benighted souls he terrorises that the NK is in charge and the US and SK are shaking in their boots at such superior force and intellect. When he falls it's gonna be from a very great height - mind you, he will probably bounce being such a lard-ball or end up as a greasespot on the pavement!!!! LL

Don't know but he sure has a high opinion of himself. His titles are Outstanding Leader, Lil Kim, Great Successor, Brilliant Comrade, Young General, Young Master.
