No, it didn't. That 'book' had been around for over a year before 3A sank. And they needn't try to comfort themselves with any idea about 'translations' - its contents/selected highlights which appealed to McCann-haters - were knocking around on the internet, or in Portuguese tabloids, almost as soon as it came off the presses.

I do hope the armchair hater/sleuths know that there would be no point mentioning it in court without the documents to prove it.

3A closed down more than a year AFTER Gonc's book came out. That is a matter of public record.

Imagine, a 3A database seemingly surfacing after all this time. That'll be all the pms, the lot - bet that made the lawyers' hair stand on end. Especially when they saw that Amaral was a member.

I really don't know why they tell such stupid lies, Lily. Look at that - the ink is barely dry on his vile 'book' in Summer 2008 and Morais is eagerly translating the bits that do the McCanns most damage.

And 3A didn't collapse till August 2009.

Paul Rees Weiss did a terrific tweet saying the kidnap threat on 3As has sod all to do with GA's book because 3As folded long before the book was even written.

Sadly for Weiss, he was talking sh#te. It's a matter of record that 3A folded over a year AFTER Gonc's book was published; indeed, Morais was translating and posting extracts from it almost as soon as it was published.

They really had better face it, Mr Wright didn't just make this up on the spur of the moment; all the relevant proof is with the judge.

Instead, they have what millions know. Madeleine was abducted and Gonc the irresponsible detective not only botched the case but wrote a book of lies about it all.

They can't allow themselves to understand the above. So they don't.
