Re: Scareforce One Makes Day Trip To Aberdeen
Oh, now Cameron's begging me to stay. I had to put it off, I couldn't stand his whining and lying. I've found an intelligent discussion about the sanctions boomerang on RT instead.

I had to put it off, I couldn't stand it. I had intended to count how many times he went on about Strength through Unity, like the bad guys in V for Vendetta, but I discovered I couldn't bear listening to it.
Vote No and we'll maybe give you a wee bit more power, and a wee bit more of YOUR OWN MONEY back.
Er, why not vote YES and have all the money and power?
The Little Englanders going on about subsidised deep-fried Mars bars are correct, actually. As has already been spelled out, THERE CAN BE NO DEVO MAX.
A federal English parliament would have to be set up, and then they would start moaning about immigrants getting to vote, and that they're not really English.
IMO, Cameron and co are blatantly short-term lying, in the hope that the Oh Noes! are too dumb to read the English editions of the papers, to stave off short-term disaster. In doing so, they are storing up even more trouble for the future when it becomes glaringly obvious to even the most deluded Bitter that they can't deliver on their promises. And had no intention of ever doing so, it was just a bribe to shut them up.

Re: Scareforce One Makes Day Trip To Aberdeen
You'll find his pathetic pleading here:
http://news.sky.com/story/1336332/referendum-pm-makes-final-appeal-in-scotland
In a speech in Aberdeen, Mr Cameron said independence would "not be a trial separation but a painful divorce".
Painful for whom? The party heading for the exit seems pretty happy about it.

Re: Scareforce One Makes Day Trip To Aberdeen
I don't know what is going to rise out of the ashes, Sabot, but the Labour party is finished in Scotland after this. Their rank and file members, from the days when it was an organisation for the working man and woman, are utterly sickened by the sight of Labour leaders defending Tory policies. When we famously have more pandas than Tory MPs.
They will go the way of the Lib Dems, who were wiped out in Scotland when they went back on every single thing they'd promised to go into coalition with the Tories.
Remember, there is an enormous gulf between old Labour, and these NuLabour champagne socialists, who live high off the hog while condemning so many other people to the crumbs off the table, and inflict ghastly, PC, marxist-lite political theory on 'the underclasses'.
They're like the ones that call themselves 'progressives' in the US.

Just a reminder of why Cameron and co are blatantly lying to Scottish voters:

UK To Get VETO On Gordon Brown’s Devo Proposals

Gordon Brown Wrong Again
Gordon Brown Wrong Again
Gordon Brown’s Devo Timetable unconstitutional according to House Of Lords.
In an act of desperation the NO campaign pushed Gordon Brown to the fore to announce a timetable for what they call “more powers” in the event of a NO vote. This supposedly iron clad timetable does not include at any point a second referendum that allows for the people in the rest of the UK to vote on whether Scotland should be granted more powers.
However research from Business for Scotland has identified that according to the House of Lords Select Committee on the Constitution, 24th Report of Session 2010–12, Gordon Brown’s cobbled together timetable would be unconstitutional.
Let’s be clear, the House of Lords’ report states categorically that any further powers for Scotland should be subject to a UK -wide constitutional process, including the possibility of a UK-wide referendum. This means that the massive pool of MPs representing London and the South East, who benefit most from the union, effectively get a veto on whether or not to reform it.
Ironically, just as honest attempts to reform the Westminster voting system and second chamber descended into dissatisfying fudge, so would further devolution for Scotland and Gordon Brown’s panicked announcement of an iron clad timetable disintegrate within days – much like most of the scare stories of the NO Camp.
Excerpt from the House of Lords’ report:
44. The different constitutional outcome of “devolution max” requires a distinct constitutional process for its achievement. As illustrated by the potential for competing tax regimes within the United Kingdom, such an arrangement for one member of the Union would necessarily have real, deep and immediate consequences for the other members and for the Union as a whole. Properly to secure the legitimate interests of each and all, proposals as to “devolution max” would first have to be developed through intergovernmental negotiations conducted, not just bilaterally with the UK Government, but on an inclusive, multilateral basis across the Union state.
45. Whereas both the UK Government and the Scottish Government have recognised that independence is a Scottish question, “devolution max” is not. Proper constitutional process requires that negotiations involving all parts of the United Kingdom precede any referendum on an agreed scheme of “devolution max.
This was reported at the time that further devolution would require a UK wide referendum. The media seem to have largely forgotten this rather large constitutional barrier to more powers.
The media have labelled Gordon Brown’s timetable as a Devo Max offer but that is not an accurate description, it is more like Devo Lite but it still must be put to the Westminster Parliament and House of Lords, and to the people of the rest of the UK, before it is offered to the people of Scotland.
We can reasonably conclude that there can be no guarantee of more powers or any trust in the promises of the NO camp when the rest of the UK get to veto any offer. The timetable is not iron clad; it is shrouded in uncertainty. It is this very problem – “that Devo Max cannot be delivered at all” that the Westminster parties fought tooth and nail to keep it off the ballot paper.
This problem is growing by the day but it is going largely unreported by the Metropolitan press. William Hague standing in for the PM at Prime Minister’s Question Time said “Fast tracking devolution for Scotland was not Government policy”. They say one thing to the people of Scotland and quite another at Westminster – how can anyone believe a word they say?

Re: Scareforce One Makes Day Trip To Aberdeen
What's worse is, it's only a tiny snapshot of what's going on, Lily. There simply haven't been any big Bitter rallies here - unless you count the Orange Order, of course. They have to bring Labour student types up from England to do their canvassing and man their phone banks, and have their final rally in Trafalgar Square.
I wouldn't be in the least surprised if it ended with Land of Hope And Glory.
If YES wins, then the Oh No! campaign is going to figure in media and political studies for decades. As an example of how, with 90% of the media, all of the Establishment, millionaires and luvvy hasbeens backing you, to lose a campaign to the small folk with the internet, songs, dances, satire and comedy rickshaws on their side.

Re: Scareforce One Makes Day Trip To Aberdeen
What is it with Trafalgar Square? Do they honestly think a bunch of lunatic party goers in London are going to have any effect on a Scottish Vote? All dancing about shouting Vote No because that's best for England?
That's the whole point. The people with the right to vote all live in Scotland. And they ain't going to catch a train all that way, which they would have to pay for themselves, just to join in.
But what would be a hoot is loads of Saltires and Yes Voters from England joining in. Their reasons would be irrelevant.
Gosh, there might even be a Riot.

Oh, no danger of rioting, Sabot, all unionist hotspots like Farage, the Orange Order and Trafalgar Square are boycotted. I have little doubt that Farage turned up HOPING for trouble, and was disappointed not to get it.

http://news.stv.tv/east-central/292144-teenagers-arrested-after-man-attacked-outside-usher-hall-yes-gig/
Two teenagers have been arrested after a man was assaulted outside a pro-independence concert.
The 48-year-old man was attacked outside the Usher Hall in Edinburgh at 11.50pm on Saturday.
It is understood he had attended A Night for Scotland before he was assaulted.
More than 2000 supporters packed the venue for a concert showing support for the Yes campaign.
Franz Ferdinand, Mogwai, Amy Macdonald and Eddi Reader all took to the stage.
Police Scotland said they were called to an assault and two teenagers have been charged.
A spokesman for the force said: "Two men have been arrested and charged following an assault on a 48-year old-man outside the Usher Hall around 11.50pm last night.
"The two 18-year-olds will appear in court at a later date."
