Re: Scareforce One Makes Day Trip To Aberdeen
I think so, too, Lily, Cameron wouldn't have been promising to give away the English Crown jewels if only we wouldn't walk out the door.
There's something else the polls aren't taking account of - an awful lot of folk here know the Scottish government. They don't carry on like our Imperial Masters, they are more than happy to mix with ordinary people. When the Cameron entourage swept into Edinburgh and he addressed a hand-picked audience, Alex Salmond was in a cafe eating chips with toddlers and their mums. In a small country, there isn't that huge gap.
From what I can see around me, and the panicking from Westminster, YES has won. Apparently, the Westminster lot and the Bitters did some kind of huge superpoll about a week ago, and they have been scared to release the results.
So, I think YES will win. Am I 100% sure? No, people can do the most peculiar thing in polling booths.

When is The Referendum? Sorry, rather lost track. But I really want to light a candle on the evening before.

Okay. Bordering on halfie, halfie results from Polls are always difficult to assess because some people don't tell the truth, but on this occasion I very much doubt that the NOs are lying, so some people saying NO could be fibbing.

Re: Scareforce One Makes Day Trip To Aberdeen
Polling stations open at 7am on Thursday, Sabot, and close at 10pm.
I am praying it's a YES for another reason - I couldn't stand this again in a year or two, when it becomes obvious to even the most deluded ProudScotBut that Cameron and co have plain and simply lied to them, the Jam Tomorrow is off the menu, and Boris and Farage are trying to bleed Scotland dry.
Now, that nightmare scenario would come as no surprise to hardened cynics like me, but there are still some trusting souls out there that believe Westminster politicians. It won't be pretty, should they be forced to face the extent of the deceit and corruption.

It also emerged today that the boss of EDF has sent a letter to the firm's 15,000 staff warning them that independence would bring uncertainty for the energy sector.
The company has two nuclear power stations in Scotland and employs 1,200 staff there. Vincent de Rivaz said the people of Scotland had a huge responsibility.
I wonder if anyone 'encouraged' them to do that? Maybe their director of communications? Who is none other than
GORDON BROWN'S BROTHER.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Andrew_Brown_%28media_strategist%29
In 2003 Brown left the news industry and joined PR company Weber Shandwick as director of media strategy.[2][3][4] In 2004 he joined French energy firm EDF Energy, as head of media relations, where as of 2011 he held the position of director of corporate communications.[3][5]
Nepotism and troughing is sooooo ugly.

Oh dear. It appears Millipede has fled Edinburgh's St James Shopping Centre....
Ed Miliband has been forced to abandon a walkabout in Edinburgh after he became caught in a crush of media and pro-independence protesters, who drowned out his interviews with shouts of “f*cking liar” and “serial murderer”.
You'd need a heart of stone not to laugh. I don't know about the 'serial murderer' bit, but he is undeniably a f*cking liar.
PS - These things never happen to Oor Eck, Wee Nicola, or any of the other YESses. Perhaps it's something Millipede and co are saying?

That was bound to change abruptly when YouGov published a poll showing the Yes campaign in the lead for the first time, leading to the London establishment unleashing the forces of hell upon Scotland, in an attempt to terrorise the country into rejecting self-government.
Perhaps naively, I actually had a fair amount of confidence that the deeply ingrained culture of neutrality at the BBC would win out at this crucial junction in the history of its relationship with the people of Scotland.
We've seen before, not least during the Hutton saga, that the corporation is capable even of broadcasting output that is excruciatingly embarrassing to itself, if that's the price that has to be paid to be seen as impartial. So I suspected that when BBC network producers and journalists suddenly woke up to the fact that a big story was unfolding in Scotland, they would bend over backwards to be seen to give the pro-independence case a fair crack of the whip.
I couldn't have been more wrong. With every passing hour, the sickening realisation dawned that journalists such as Nick Robinson were only decamping to Scotland to be active participants in the London establishment's Iraq War-style "shock and awe" campaign.
Indeed, the former BBC journalist Paul Mason, who now works for Channel 4, commented that he hadn't seen the corporation operating in such all-out propaganda mode since the invasion of Iraq.

Re: Scareforce One Makes Day Trip To Aberdeen
The knives are out already in Westminster:
http://www.newstatesman.com/politics/2014/09/even-if-union-endures-last-vestiges-westminster-s-authority-have-been-washed-away
If the Union is lost, Tory MPs will move swiftly to frame Labour as the culprit. It was the party’s “loathsomely shit” performance in the 2011 election for the Scottish Parliament (in the words of a shadow cabinet minister) that allowed the SNP to win a majority, and its lacklustre standing since then has put the SNP within reach of its ultimate goal. Calls for Cameron to resign will be matched by calls for Miliband to do so. But Labour MPs believe the blame will fall elsewhere. “This will be Alistair [Darling] and Douglas [Alexander]’s defeat,” one says, in reference to the Better Together chair and the party’s general election co-ordinator, who is being heavily briefed against.

This is what is annoying people. Alex Salmond is giving what should be a simple interview on Sky just now, and Adam Boulton won't let him speak, and keeps talking over the top of him.
No wonder I watch Russia Today.
They're blaming the SNP for this, Lily, but it's actually infuriated ex-Labour supporters that have been sold down the river by Millipede and co. Apparently, he didn't like the shouts of, Bow down to your Imperial masters.

Re: Scareforce One Makes Day Trip To Aberdeen
Mr Miliband spoke briefly to a handful of voters before the chaotic visit was brought to an end.
He told reporters: "If people vote no, it's for change and more powers for a stronger Scotland, as well as NHS funding guarantees, and that's got to be weighed against the big risks of voting yes.
"That has been the choice that people are facing in these last couple of days in this referendum campaign."
He added: "I think that the momentum is with the No campaign as people recognise that there is a clear offer of change by voting No."
Asked if he was making it up as he was going along, he said: "Not at all. We have set out very clearly throughout this campaign that there will be more powers for the Scottish Parliament, that this is the choice on offer by voting No against the big risks of voting Yes."
F*cking liar. He's saying that KNOWING English MPs are going to veto it.

Re: Scareforce One Makes Day Trip To Aberdeen
This has to be one of the most stunning bits of public lying I've ever seen, Lily. Those three frauds making their Vows - knowing full well that it's never going to happen, that it will never pass the UK parliament, that the Lords have ALREADY ruled cannot be done constitutionally.
Yet still they get up on their hind legs and blatantly lie. Stunning, and shocking to see the lengths they're prepared to go to.
You have to ask, If we're so poor and stupid, such a drain on England, as we're forever being told, why are they promising the earth (which they can't deliver) to hold onto us?

Re: Scareforce One Makes Day Trip To Aberdeen
This one, Lily:
http://news.sky.com/story/1336899/politician-dumped-in-skip-by-angry-crowd
Politician Dumped In Skip By Angry Crowd
A mob vents its fury against a member of Ukraine's parliament after a vote granted an amnesty to pro-Russia rebels.
An angry crowd has thrown a Ukrainian MP into a skip outside the country's parliament in Kiev.
A group of men were filmed shoving Vitaly Zhuravsky before grabbing him and dumping him head first into the bin filled with festering rubbish.
As he tried to clamber out, the MP - still gripping his briefcase - was held down by his head as members of the screaming and swearing mob tossed a tyre on top of him.
Before Mr Zhuravsky could free himself, liquid from what looked like a drink can was poured over his head and a woman was heard shouting in Russian: "Boys, let me kick him at least one time."
Once a member of ousted President Viktor Yanukovych's Party of the Regions, the MP risked unpopularity in January when he authored a bill severely tightening restrictions on anti-government protesters.
Previously, he was behind a controversial bill criminalising libel, which was withdrawn amid widespread opposition.
The incident came after the Ukrainian parliament voted to ratify a major EU-Ukraine association agreement.
I think the Right Sektor are a bit annoyed, but I couldn't swear to which faction is enraged this time.
According to RT:
http://rt.com/news/188220-ukraine-rada-unrest-fire/
there's a riot in progress, and tyres are going up in flames again, so it looks like it's Right Sektor. The Kiev parliament is carrying out some kind of purge of the opposition:
The so-called lustration bill has been supported by 231 members of parliament - the minimum required is 226 votes - during the second and the last reading. If signed into law by President Petro Poroshenko, MPs who worked under Viktor Yanukovich will be forced to leave the parliament and will be permanently banned from occupying seats.
which they like, but the Donbass rebels have been given pretty much everything they wanted, which the Right Sektor don't like.
