I doubt if Millipede will be crying about that; he hasn't said a word about any of the violent acts committed by Bitters. Not even about the guy attacked in Edinburgh on Sunday night, though the pics are all over the internet, and two Bitter thugs have been charged.

The bizarre discovery was made by Terry O'Neil when he pulled out a breaded piece of fillet and noticed it looked just like a map of England and Wales - but no Scotland. Mr O'Neil made his finding when he ordered a bucket of KFC while on holiday in Sussex with his family. It comes hot on the heels of the appearance of a cloud in the shape of the UK with Scotland removed.

That's what the Mail's been reduced to. Sources say they will be sacrificing a goat tomorrow, and divining the future from the entrails.

Looks like Cameron's out of office whatever happens. He does, however, have a slim chance of holding on if it's a YES; he's none whatsoever if it's No, because he cannot make good on his promises, and Boris and co are already sharpening the knifes and looking for a target in his back.

Tomorrow should be epic, Lily. The Mail has decided there's not enough hysteria already, so is whipping up more. The English media seems to be chewing lumps out of Cameron over his Vow, and a new poll is out which says exactly the same as all the other polls - it's too close to call, or so they claim.

I wonder what tomorrow will bring? Threats of military occupation for being uppity? Or will it be more bribes, perhaps the English crown jewels AND the key to Buckingham Palace?

Seriously, Cameron and co would be better admitting they've told a pack of lies, and facing the consequences, instead of storing up even bigger trouble for the future, Lily.

Interesting comment here:

http://www.newstatesman.com/politics/2014/09/even-if-union-endures-last-vestiges-westminster-s-authority-have-been-washed-away

Private polling on both sides have indicated a sizeable Yes victory. No campaigners have already conceded that they have lost Aberdeen, Dundee, Glasgow and the West. Yes campaigners have received a total canvassing result of 54% Yes to 46% No. This is why there is panic in the ranks and it is nothing to do with public polling (which is flawed in such a unprecedented referendum). Its all about getting the vote out now. Hopefully its a Yes vote and Scotland embraces self determination once more.

If No has lost the big population centres, then it's all over bar the shouting. And would explain the total panic in unionist ranks.

SSP referendum meeting halted after pro-Union protestors berate locals

By a Newsnet reporter

A public event to discuss the referendum, arranged by the Scottish Socialist Party, has had to be abandoned after a band of flag waving Unionists showed up outside the venue and berated locals.

Scareforce One Makes Day Trip To Aberdeen - Page 34 1217d5d95871c5d3780861d29dc2d874a9e1452b_260x146_Q75

Police were called to the event which was being held in the Drumchapel Community Centre after the mob turned up unexpectedly and began to hurl abuse at attendees.

The event was scheduled to take place at 7pm on Tuesday, but had to be cancelled as fears for safety grew. Staff at the centre turned away local residents as they arrived, while police fenced in the 20-strong loyalist contingent which included young children.

Mostly clad in blue and red, waving Union Jacks, some shouted at local residents attending the meeting, saying they were 'not welcome in Drumchapel'.

At one point a furious Unionist was hauled away by police after losing his temper and shouting at attendees. At about 7.20pm the public meeting was dispersed by SSP officials while police watched over the loyalist protest.

Earlier in the year, the SSP hosted a similar meeting in the same venue, which was left undisturbed.

Scottish Socialist Party West of Scotland spokesperson Richie Venton said: "Our socialist case for independence has been delivered to venues across Scotland to halls packed full. This was our final meeting in a series we've had in Drumchapel.

"Our message, far from being nationalist, was one those who intimidated workers tonight would have identified with - one that identified the source of local unemployment, poverty, reliance on food banks and rising heating and electricity prices as the Westminster blue, purple, yellow and red parties of 'Better Together'.

"Those demonstrating may have learned that their support for a Westminster regime was impoverishing themselves and their communities. But what they should know is we shall continue to fight against austerity and the tyranny of the tories over communities like Drumchapel, Govan, Easterhouse and indeed, Scotland.

"While a couple of the unionists were fairly reasonable in manner others dished out abuse, telling us to 'feck off out of Drumchapel', where most of those at our meeting actually live!"

Despite displaying official 'No Thanks' placards, there was no evidence to suggest that the Unionist group were in any way connected to the official No campaign.

Mr Venton added: "Our message will not be crushed by misdirected unionist threats. Westminster divides and conquers. A Yes shall unite."

Is the Mail going to tell readers that a YES meeting was abandoned because of intimidation by Union Jack-waving thugs? I doubt it, somehow.

Let’s do this’ — Alex Salmond makes final plea to Scotland’s voters

Scareforce One Makes Day Trip To Aberdeen - Page 34 Image

Alex Salmond issues a written plea to the voters of Scotland today.

In an open letter to the electorate, the First Minister urged the nation to take full advantage of the “most empowering moment any of us will ever have”.

He writes: “In these final hours of this historic campaign, I want to speak directly to every person in this country.

“I have no doubt people in Scotland will look past the increasingly desperate and absurd scare stories being generated daily from Downing Street.

“Those have no place in a sensible debate so in these last days of the greatest campaign Scotland has ever seen, I want to ask you to take a step back from the arguments of politicians and blizzard of statistics.”

He called for the spotlight to be shifted to the people.

“What’s left is just us — the people who live and work here,” he said. “The only people with a vote. The people who matter.

“Wake up on Friday morning to the first day of a better country,” he said. “Wake up knowing you did this, you made it happen.

“This vote isn’t about me, it isn’t about the SNP, the Labour Party or the Tories.

“It’s about you. Your family. Your hopes. Your ambitions.

“It’s about taking your country’s future into your hands.

“Don’t let this opportunity slip through our fingers.

“Don’t let them tell us we can’t. Let’s do this.”

OUTRAGE at Scottish bribes: Politicians pledge more of OUR cash to save the union

FURY erupted last night after Scots were promised a massive subsidy if they vote “No” to independence.

David Cameron, Ed Miliband and Nick Clegg signed a joint declaration pledging to retain funding that guarantees them an extra £1,400 of state spending per head compared with those in England and Wales.

The party leaders pledged that Scotland would continue to receive taxpayers’ cash – worth nearly £7.5billion this year – in perpetuity even though the Scottish Parliament in Edinburgh is to get sweeping tax-raising powers in a new devolution deal.

But the promise to keep paying the handout indefinitely – a blatant bribe to voters in tomorrow’s independence referendum – triggered widespread outrage among English MPs.

Scots already get free social care for the elderly and free student tuition that England cannot afford under the current funding deal.

Tory Peter Bone, MP for Wellingborough, said: “I don’t see why people in the East Midlands should be worse off to the tune of thousands of pounds than the people of Scotland.”

Fellow Tory Brian Binley, MP for Northampton South, feared Westminster had been “ignored and subordinated”.

He was furious that Mr Cameron appeared to have rubber-stamped a funding proposal put forward by former Labour prime minister Gordon Brown “swanning around making promises left, right and centre apparently with the authority of a Government minister”.

Dorset MP Christopher Chope warned that the funding deal could be rejected by a Commons vote.

The joint letter from Mr Cameron, Mr Miliband and Mr Clegg vowed to keep for ever the so-called Barnett Formula currently used to determine extra state spending for Scotland.

Despite the pledge Mr Miliband was jostled and heckled by independence supporters in chaotic scenes yesterday. Campaigners hurled abuse at the Labour leader in Edinburgh. One supporter of the Yes camp called him an “absolute liar” amid the mayhem.

Mr Miliband was in Scotland to try to persuade wavering voters to vote against the break-up of the UK. His visit followed concerns that significant numbers of Scottish Labour supporters could vote Yes to independence.

Some Tories fear that Mr Cameron was panicked into backing the funding guarantee by a dramatic surge in support for the Yes campaign in opinion polls over the past fortnight. The latest poll of polls gives the No campaign a 51 to 49 per cent lead. The result is expected early on Friday.

A spokesman for Yes Scotland said: “It’s clear that Project Panic is willing to say anything in the last few days of the campaign.”

I can understand WHY the English MPs are so angry, but really, they shouldn't be, as the Stooges are all lying through their teeth.

Just think, a YES vote would put an end to all the supposed bribes - 18 months of civil servants divvying up the family silver, and then the warring spouses go their separate ways.

Though what will happen in England when it sinks in that Scotland has been propping them up for decades, I do not know.

If, horribly, by some chicanery, the Noes win, this is going to go on for years. The Stooges won't make good on their Vows - do they ever? - so even the most deluded ProudScotsBut will open their eyes, finally.

There's a general election to Westminster next year, in which England is expected to swing very much to the Right. Boris and and Farage have made it clear they are going to hammer the Scots.

Mayhem will result, with the Independence parties getting an ever bigger majority in the Scottish parliament in 2016 than they do now.

And then we'll have another referendum, due to the unionist parties lying their heads off all the way through this one. biggrin

Scotland must brave independence
Date
September 12, 2014

magine a world in which Australia wasn't an independent country. Your daily news comes from England, but the London news desk graciously gives you 20 minutes at the end of the bulletin to update you on Australian news. All Australian place names are explained by the presenters in order to disguise British ignorance.
Tax revenue from Australian companies is sent to London and then your government is given some money back to spend on local initiatives. While Britain doesn't have any natural resources, its media - which dominates Australia - tells you that you are "subsidy junkies" for receiving higher spending levels. Any attempt on your part to argue that your country should be independent leads to Crocodile Dundee references, suggestions that you hate British people and a reply that despite Australia's resources, educated workforce and strong exports, your country could never survive on its own.
Of course, this is a ridiculous scenario for Australians to envisage in 2014. This country long ago decided it would stand on its own two feet and make its own way in the world. Yet, this is what is happening to Scottish voters as they prepare for the referendum on independence from Britain. On September 18, Scotland will be faced with the same choice. Having gained a Parliament with control over policy areas such as education and health in 1999, Scottish voters have backed the Scottish National Party in the last two elections, a party which has campaigned since the 1930s for independence.

I don't know if my nerves will take it, Sabot. rofl rofl rofl

I am NOT watching the BBC under any circumstances, I will never watch their news again, and having seen the complete lies and propaganda they've spewed out over this, it's safe to assume that everything they've been spewing out for years, from illegal wars to Ukraine, Syria, everything, is a pack of lies dictated by their political masters.

They're nothing better than the mouthpiece of State propaganda masquerading as 'impartiality'.

Sky's been tolerable - just. Patronising and rude at times, but they haven't deliberately lied.

Look at the people in this video-

Those are real people; the YES-es haven't had to bus in students from England to canvass, as the Bitters have done. Mind you, who wouldn't rather be canvassed by a shiny-faced, if deluded, student, than some thug from the Orange Order.

Scottish police get fed up of cries of woe and terror from the Bitters:

http://www.spf.org.uk/2014/09/spf-media-release-independence-referendum-2/

SPF Media Release – Independence Referendum

SCOTTISH POLICE FEDERATION
5 Woodside Place, Glasgow, G3 7QF

MEDIA RELEASE

The Scottish Police Federation represents all police officers in the ranks of constable, sergeant, inspector and chief inspector, police cadets and special constables, over 18,500 people, 98% of all police officers in Scotland.

To: News Editor
Date: 17 September 2014
Subject: Independence Referendum

In response to increased press reports and comment implying increased crime and disorder as a consequence of the Independence Referendum Brian Docherty, Chairman of the Scottish Police Federation said;

“The Police Service of Scotland and the men and women who work in it should not be used as a political football at any time and especially so in these last few hours of the referendum campaign.

As I have previously stated the referendum debate has been robust but overwhelmingly good natured.

It was inevitable that the closer we came to the 18th of September passions would increase but that does not justify the exaggerated rhetoric that is being deployed with increased frequency. Any neutral observer could be led to believe Scotland is on the verge of societal disintegration yet nothing could be further from the truth.

Scotland’s citizens are overwhelmingly law abiding and tolerant and it is preposterous to imply that by placing a cross in a box, our citizens will suddenly abandon the personal virtues and values held dear to them all.

At this time it is more important than ever that individuals be they politicians, journalists or whoever should carefully consider their words, maintain level heads and act with respect. Respect is not demonstrated by suggesting a minority of mindless idiots are representative of anything. One of the many joys of this campaign has been how it has awakened political awareness across almost every single section of society. The success enjoyed by the many should not be sullied by the actions of the few.

Police officers must be kept free from the distractions of rhetoric better suited to the playground that the political stump. If crime has been committed it will be investigated and dealt with appropriately but quite simply police officers have better things to do than officiate in spats on social media and respond to baseless speculation of the potential for disorder on and following polling day”

ENDS

Hope someone sends a copy to the Mail and the rest of the unionist press. And I do like the bit about spats on social media. rofl rofl rofl rofl

But will Cameron and Co stand beside Francois Holland? Will England threaten to take away my Winter Fuel Allowance?

To date, the only crimes associated with the referendum that I know of were the conviction for assault on a Yes campaigner by someone from the No campaign, the No campaigner who kicked a pregnant Yes campaigner in the stomach, the guy who threatened on Twitter to kill Salmond, and of course the guy who threw the egg at Murphy.
Is it not interesting that Murphy's egg has had more media exposure - indeed this must be one of the best known eggs in Scotland - than the appearance in court of the guy who threatened to kill Salmond. What kind of media do we have where throwing an egg (and for the record, stupid thing to do) is treated with more gravity than a threat to kill someone?

The fact is that Labour have spun a narrative where the Yes side are marauding all over the country threatening good honest patriots. The fact there is little or no evidence for this is merely a detail - it must be true because this is what Labour are saying. McConnell I see is at the same game again this morning, and once more has been slapped down for his "exaggerated rhetoric" by the Police Fed.

Perhaps you might want to comment on the SSP meeting in Drumchapel last night which had to be abandoned because of the abuse being handed out by pro-Union protesters?

So, the editor of the Scottish Telegraph has been promised big bucks if his lies help deliver a No vote. Some things never change.
