They don't mind how much it costs. They don't exactly pay for it......either in money or more importantly, lives.

Pentagon officials provided an update on Friday concerning the campaign being waged against militants from the so-called Islamic State and said the operation remains a ways from being over.
In a press conference from the United States military’s headquarters near Washington, DC on Friday, Defense Secretary Chuck Hagel and Joint Chiefs of Staff Chairman Gen. Martin Dempsey said the US-led campaign against the group also known as ISIS, or ISIL is still in its infancy, but continues to garner support from the international community. In order to succeed, however, an infantry of up to 15,000 fighters may need to be trained to take on the extremists.
I haven't the words for the stupid.

Re: US bombs Syria, kills civilians and children
A pattern develops, doesn't it, which makes the inevitable disaster fairly easy to predict.
Yes, why not use US taxpayers' money to do ISIS' work for them and train the next generation of jihadists? I mean, it's not as if any of them have ever turned on US soldiers, is it?
Incidentally, I see the Taliban have gone into the head-chopping business, too:
http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2014/09/26/taliban-afghanistan_n_5886592.html
KABUL, Afghanistan (AP) — The Taliban beheaded 12 Afghan civilians, mostly family members of local policemen, in an assault that was part of a week-long offensive that has so far killed 60 people and wounded scores in a remote province in eastern Afghanistan, officials said Friday.
However, a Taliban spokesman in Ghazni province denied the reports of beheadings and civilian slayings, insisting the insurgents were only fighting Afghan forces there.
The violence comes amid the annual Taliban offensive, which this year will be an important gauge of how well Afghan government forces are able to face insurgent attacks ahead of the withdrawal of foreign combat troops at the end of the year.
According to the Ghazni provincial deputy police chief, Asadullah Ensafi, the Taliban on Thursday night captured and beheaded 12 civilians and torched some 60 homes in an attack in the province's district of Arjistan.

The vote came after Prime Minister David Cameron said IS forces are "psychopathic terrorists trying to kill us".
Really? Where was the outrage when the very same people were slaughtering Christians in Syria? Far from being outraged, the West was arming and training the 'psychopathic terrorists'.
And so far, their attempts to 'try to kill us' have consisted of a British rapper killing two Americans and another Brit in a desert somewhere, videos of which have caused the West to run round shouting The sky is falling! The sky is falling!
The West is only in a panic because the monster THEY created has turned on them.
And I've seen some vile online comments about civilian deaths - people who imagine they are superior and civilised saying of Iraqis killed by Western bombs, Oh well, ISIS would have killed them anyway.
Death by ISIS - bad. Death by Freedom Bomb - good.
As soon as 'civilizations' decide to play God like that, they are doomed - and every bit as bad as ISIS. They don't even grasp that bombing people, destroying their homes and families, doesn't destroy terrorists - it creates them. God help the West when these people come looking for revenge.

'We must fight against torture, against decapitations, so it's time to act,' said Belgian lawmaker Veli Yuksel, a Flemish Christian Democrat.

Oh, so finally, something is going to be done about Saudi Arabia? No, silly me, that despotic, head-chopping kingdom is, in fact, one of Our Gallant Allies.
Does anyone know what Iraq ever did to America to get bombed by four US presidents in a row? Bin Laden wasn't an Iraqi - he came from Saudi Arabia. Most of the 9/11 hijackers were Saudis.
Yet it's poor old Iraq that always gets bombed, and never KSA. I wonder why that is?

By the Pentagon’s own schedule, it could take up to five months to identify trustworthy rebels and then up to a year to train them into an organized militia. Defense officials say they can train 3,000 rebels per year once the program become operational.
These people are insane, completely and utterly.

Re: US bombs Syria, kills civilians and children
http://www.presstv.ir/detail/2014/09/27/380198/iran-fully-ready-to-counter-isil/
A senior Iranian commander says the country’s Armed Forces are completely ready to repel any potential move by the Takfiri ISIL militants against Iran.
“We will not allow the ISIL terrorist group to approach the country’s borders. We are fully prepared to counter them,” Commander of the Iranian Army’s Ground Forces Brigadier General Ahmadreza Pourdastan told reporters on Saturday.
He added that the Iranian Army’s Ground Forces have been deployed in the country’s western border regions to beef up security there.
“If the ISIL terrorist group intends to come near the country’s borders, we will target them deep inside the Iraqi territory,” the commander pointed out.
Pourdastan emphasized that the Iranian Army’s Ground Forces have high operational capability and would “nip the threats in the bud.”
The ISIL terrorists control large parts of Syria’s east and north. ISIL also sent its Takfiri militants into Iraq in June, seizing large swathes of land straddling the border between Syria and Iraq.
The Takfiri terrorist group has committed heinous crimes, including the mass execution of people and beheading of its hostages.

Re: US bombs Syria, kills civilians and children
Islamist police in Saudi Arabia have stormed a Christian prayer meeting and arrested its entire congregation, including women and children, and confiscated their bibles, it has been reported.
The raid was the latest incident of a swingeing crackdown on religious minorities in Saudi Arabia by the country's hard-line Commission for the Promotion of Virtue and Prevention of Vice.
The 28 Christians were said to be worshipping at the home of an Indian national in the eastern city of Khafji, when the police entered the building and took them into custody. They have not been seen or heard from since, raising concerns among human rights groups as to their whereabouts.

Interesting, is it not, that the despotic KSA is now Our Gallant Ally, complete with token dashing Arab Princes flying fighter jets? While Iran, which is a democracy with Christian and Jewish MPs, is mysteriously regarded as Evil?
Rank, stinking hypocrisy.

He's head and shoulders above the rest of the corrupt twisters, which is probably why he'll never get elected. I find it a pleasure to hear what he has to say, it's such a change to see someone intelligent, knowledgeable, and with an understanding of your Constitution and why it has been destroyed in the 21st century.

Paul Craig Roberts is another one I like. I don't always agree with him, and he can sometimes go too far into conspiracy land, but he is an interesting man and a thoughtful writer - I believe he was at the US Treasury under President Reagan?

New US-led airstrikes against ISIL in Syria kill civilians
The latest round of US-led airstrikes against ISIL terrorists in Syria have killed civilians working at grain silos, according to a London-based Syrian opposition group.
The so-called Syrian Observatory for Human Rights reported Monday that the air raids hit the mills and grain silos overnight in the northern Syrian town of Manbij, which were mistaken for an ISIL base.
The group said that it was not clear how many civilians were killed during the bombings.
The airstrikes also struck terrorist facilities in Aleppo, Raqqa, Hassakeh and Dayr al-Zawr provinces.
The entrance to the country’s largest gas plant, Conoco in Dayr al-Zawr province, was also hit, but the attack did not damage the gas facility itself.
In addition, Monday morning strikes targeted the town of Tel Abyad on the Syria-Turkey border, said a resident on the Turkish side on the frontier.
The attacks struck a deserted military base and an empty school, where ISIL terrorists had resided up until four months ago.
The Turkish citizen, Mehmet Ozer, told the Associated Press that US intelligence is not up-to-date.
The ISIL controls large areas of Syria’s east and north. They sent terrorists into Iraq in June, seizing large parts of the land straddling the border between Syria and Iraq.
The US and some of its allies have formed a coalition and have been conducting air raids against the group and other Takfiri groups in Syria and Iraq.
The airstrikes in Syria, however, are conducted without an approval from the Syrian government.

Quite, Lily. Cameron's been going on about using the SAS to find 'Jihad John' from London; which begs the question, why isn't more use being made of special forces? Surely this sort of operation is what they are ideal for, instead of dropping bombs from 30,000 feet?
