Hungary’s nationalist prime minister, Viktor Orbán, has claimed that Europe is in the grip of madness over immigration and refugees, and argued that he was defending European Christianity against a Muslim influx.

Orbán’s incendiary remarks came as he arrived in Brussels for a confrontation with EU leaders over his hardline policies in Europe’s biggest migration emergency since the second world war.

“Everything which is now taking place before our eyes threatens to have explosive consequences for the whole of Europe,” Orbán wrote in Germany’s Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung. “Europe’s response is madness. We must acknowledge that the European Union’s misguided immigration policy is responsible for this situation.

“Irresponsibility is the mark of every European politician who holds out the promise of a better life to immigrants and encourages them to leave everything behind and risk their lives in setting out for Europe. If Europe does not return to the path of common sense, it will find itself laid low in a battle for its fate.”.....more at link.

I have no problem with taking in CHRISTIAN women and children, Pedro, or refugees from the pagan Yazidi peoples, but the very idea of taking in hundreds of thousands of aggressive moslem men is utter insanity. You can be sure that at least one in ten of them is an ISIS sympathiser, if not an active member.

These idiots weeping and wailing over this tide of invaders are going to be the downfall of Europe.

I saw some commentator describe this emotional incontinence as Feels, not reals, which just about sums it up.

Oddly, if you ask any of the hangwringers if you want the likes of them ^^^^ living near elderly relatives, or their children's schools, they suddenly go off the whole idea....

Quite, Lily. We've all seen genuine refugees - they are usually women, children and elderly people, occassionally with a younger man along for protection.

They don't consist of 90% young men, who fight with anyone that won't let them do as these please.

Those people could all be in a proper camp, where they would be taken care of while their papers are sorted out - but they won't go. I saw a clip of a very old film not long ago, of migrants to American at the start of the 20th century waiting to go through Ellis Island.

NONE of them were carrying on like this.

If that is how they are now, imagine how they might become....

They seem to forget that every monster the world has ever seen was also a human being. The Gestapo were human beings, as were the Khmer Rouge. Stalin was a human being, the Spanish Inquisition were human beings...

I watched all of those videos, Bonny.  That is really horrible where the wife and baby are thrown on the tracks.  

The men far outnumber women and children...if they were fleeing, they would be getting the most vulnerable out first while the men stay and fight?

As horrific pictures of a Syrian refugee boy washed ashore in Turkey make headlines, equally distressing scenes of drowned children found in Libya are causing a massive outcry online. Still, the EU foreign policy chief has stressed that politicians cannot afford to act emotionally.

If the politicians currently in hysterics had bothered to do some checking, as others have done, they would know that:

1. This family were living, safely, in a small apartment in the holiday resort of Bodrun, where the father was working as a bartended.

2. They may already have been refused asylum in Canada as they were NOT refugees. I say 'may' because there is some confusion over this, and the father's claims may simply be untrue.

3. For some reason best known to himself, the father threw away their security and piled his family onto an overloaded boat which predictably sank off the beach.

4. For some reason best known to himself, the father didn't see fit to pay a few euros for lifejackets for his family. Unsurprisingly, only he survived when the boat sunk.

In a less chaotic situation, he would be facing manslaughter charges, FFS. It is NOT the fault of anyone in the UK that the rest of his family drowned,or that he was curiously unable to save any of them, it is his.

How many British children are now going to suffer because of this emotional blackmail? How many British veterans are sleeping on the streets? How many people on hospital waiting lists are now going to suffer because the 'poor migrants' will be given priority?

Thousands of migrants are poised to break out of a migrant camp in Hungary - as riot police fire stun grenades at refugees trying to storm a ferry on a Greek island.

Hungarian police said around 300 migrants had already broken out of the Roszke camp near the Serbian border.

Dozens more have broken out of second camp near the town of Bicske, 22 miles from Budapest.

More than 2,000 others say they will leave the Roszke camp unless their demands are met this afternoon. It is unclear what the demands are.

Elsewhere, footage showed migrants throwing stones at police and being dispersed by tear gas and stun grenades on the Greek island of Lesbos.

t is understood the migrants were attempting to board a ferry, but were not properly registered.

The mayor of the island - which has about 15,000 refugees - said that the situation was "a bomb about to explode" in his hands.

Appealing for immediate help, Spyros Galinos warned: "We will have victims."

Earlier, a ferry sent by Greece had brought more than 2,000 rescued migrants from the island to Piraeus port, near Athens.

Hundreds of other refugees in Budapest threatened to go by foot the 150 miles (240km) to the Austrian capital......etc.

It keeps getting worse and worse.   There is so much emotional blackmail out there....

What's the name of this syndrome - virtue signalling? Where tearful fools, usually of a leftie nature, try to outdo each other in showing how much they care?

I've seen a good few of them demanding to know why Russia isn't taking in any of these people. Not once has it occurred to them that Russia isn't stupid enough to let a load of woman-hating, religious bigots into their country - and Russia has already done a first-class job with over a million refugees from the Western proxy war in Ukraine.

They would be better employed asking why Saudi Arabia and other rich states are doing naff-all for their fellow moslems.

The do-gooders do not seem to grasp that every one of them would mug and rob - if not worse - any idiot, unarmed, female European that crossed their path.

I've noticed that, in all the bien pensant crying over muslim immigrants, there have been few tears shed for the elderly Italian couple who were raped, robbed and murdered by some scumbag previously 'rescued' from the Med.

That's different, I expect.

The Hungarians should turn the train round and take the whole bloody lot of them back where they came from. If they'd behaved like that under previous regimes, they would have found themselves on the wrong end of a few rapid fire rounds.

Look at him - gutless wonder will fight with the Hungarian police, but won't do anything to defend his own country. Unless, of course, he is ISIS, as many of them are sure to be.

There are not many women and children in their midst?  I've looked at a lot of photos and don't see many at all.  

No one in the media seems to be talking about that?

Some of the papers are showing the real picture, Lily, but others are still handwringing. The comments tell the real story - these people simply are not wanted by anyone except the usual meddling, do-gooders.

Also, a lot of ordinary people are scared to speak out in case they get called Racists! Islamophobes! So they keep quiet, until it's ballot box time, and then aforesaid do-gooders are astonished because the previously-docile voters are now supporting the far Right, as has happened in Sweden.

I freely admit, I am somewhat annoyed with Ms Sturgeon after her tearful performance yesterday; she is liable to find out the hard way that people do NOT vote SNP to get Islamists as neighbours.

If this chaos had happened before the general election, I have NO doubt that UKIP would have got far more seats, and any party even slightly soft on immigration would have been wiped out.
