A Palestinian toddler has been killed and several other people wounded in a fire suspected to be carried out by Jewish extremists.
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu condemned the attack, describing it as terrorism.
The assailants entered the village of Kafr Duma, near the West Bank city of Nablus, torching two houses and scrawling Hebrew graffiti, including "revenge" and "Price Tag" - a slogan used by Israeli extremists.
They threw Molotov cocktails, or fire bombs, at the houses, the Israeli military said.
The 18-month-old child, identified as Ali Dawabsheh, was killed, while his four-year-old brother and their parents were badly wounded and taken to hospital, Palestinian officials said. More at link.
I am frankly sick to death of what Israel has turned into, LL - they shouldn't have been allowed to get away with stealing an inch of Palestinian land.
At least it looks like Netenyahu is going to do something this time.

Really? I'll believe it when I see it. He's all p*ss and wind, he'll huff and puff and send in more IDF soldiers. He needs the settlers to keep him in power. Takes a terrorist to recognise one, IMO. LLAt least it looks like Netenyahu is going to do something this time.

Ah - you know more about him than I do, LL.
Oh, how could I be so stupid? This is the man that's been claiming for the last twenty years that Iran is weeks away from getting a nuclear warhead.

What I know about him comes from very reliable people, who have lived in Israel, have served in the IDF and hate the fascist state their homeland has become. I have been invited to stay with friends there, I refused each time as I will not visit a place where innocent civilians are killed in the name of 'security'. How does an 18 month child use a Kalashnikov? Throw bricks or bombs? LLbb1 wrote:Ah - you know more about him than I do, LL.

Re: Palestinian toddler killed in 'Jewish settler' arson attack
Netenyahu terrifies me, to be honest, LL. IMO, he is more than capable of launching an attack on Iran just because he thinks he can.....
Iran hasn't attacked anyone in the last 200 years - it was attacked by Iraq, when Washington was backing Saddam and supplying him with weapons.
Israel in contrast has repeatedly attacked its neighbours, stolen land from Palestinians, bombed Gaza, and is curiously untroubled by ISIS. Perhaps because they have been treating injured ISIS scum? And didn't bomb ISIS on the Golan Heights when Assad's troops were fighting the scum.
Oh no, Israel bombed Assad's men.
ISIS seems to be more than acceptable to Israel, as long as the scum kills other muslims, Christians and the odd pagan.

IMO, the Israeli government and zionists - not, I stress, ordinary Jews and Israelis, I don't blame people for their crazy governments - have got away with this so long, and know so much about assorted dirty dealings, that they think they can do pretty much as they please?

Palestinian teenager 'shot dead by Israeli snipers' at Ramallah checkpoint in violent clashes following toddler's arson death
Israeli forces say they shot the 17-year-old because he was threw a fire bomb at a watch tower
A Palestinian teenager has been killed by Israeli forces, it has been reported.
The Guardian reports that 17-year-old Laith Fadel al-Khaladi was killed amid violent clashes in Ramallah.
Palestinian medical officials report that the teenager was shot by Israeli sniper fire at a checkpoint. Israeli forces say he threw a fire bomb at a watch tower.
Violence has erupted in the region after a toddler was burnt alive in a horrific attack on Thursday night. 18-month-old Ali Saad Dawabsha was asleep in his family home in the West Bank when fire bombs were thrown inside. Four other family members were taken to hospital with severe burns.
The attackers also reportedly sprayed “revenge” and “long live the Messiah” on the walls in Hebrew, according to Haaretz.
The incident has provoked outrage locally and internationally. IDF spokesperson Lieutenant Colonel Peter Lerner labelled the attack "nothing short of a barbaric act of terrorism."

I watched this last night on BBC Panorama (don't let the fact it was on BBC put some of you off watching) and thought people might like to see it as it raises some very pertinent points regarding East Jerusalem, the Israelis and the Palestinians. LL

http://www.independent.co.uk/news/world/middle-east/detention-of-far-right-jewish-activist-meir-ettinger-exposes-israels-unspoken-divisions-10438805.html
Meir Ettinger: Far right Jewish activist held over attack in which 18-month-old Palestinian boy was burned alive
Meir Ettinger started his career in anti-Arab activism in relatively modest and unexceptional fashion. The young man now being designated as the number one Jewish terrorism suspect of Israel’s Shin Bet internal security agency would, as a 20-year-old in 2011, go into the shops and stalls of Jerusalem’s Machane Yehuda market. He would ask the storekeepers if they employed Arabs and if the answer was “yes”, he would place an “x” next to the store’s name in his notebook. It was a marker for a boycott by fellow Arab haters.
Now Mr Ettinger has become the first far right activist arrested after last Friday’s attack by Jewish extremists in the West Bank, in which an 18-month-old Palestinian boy was burned alive and his parents and brother were severely wounded. The Shin Bet is not saying whether he has been linked to last week’s attack, only that he was taken into custody for “involvement and activity in a Jewish extremist organisation”.
Whether he is innocent or guilty of being involved in the Duma attack, Mr Ettinger has become the face of a violent extremism that many Israelis fear is spinning out of control and beginning to threaten the fabric of their society.
Recent years have seen a spate of hate assaults on Palestinian persons and property and mosques and churches.
Mr Ettinger’s remand was extended from Tuesday until Sunday by a judge in Nazareth District Court. His lawyer, Yuval Zemer, says the arrest is for the “public relations” purposes of the authorities, in order to give the impression they are doing something after the Duma attack. It will not result in charges, Mr Zemer says.
Mr Ettinger has voiced identification with two suspects being held in connection with the burning of the Church of the Multiplication of Loaves and Fishes on the Sea of Galilee in June, but a Shin Bet spokeswoman declined to say if the 23-year-old, who is the son of a rabbi who teaches in a religious seminary, is a suspect in that attack.
Mr Ettinger is the grandson of Meir Kahane, the American-born anti-Arab extremist legislator who was assassinated in 1990 and who, along with another racist rabbi, Yitzchak Ginsburgh, appear to have helped shape his grandson’s world view....continued at link.

As the grandson of Meir Kahane he will probably get a medal for what he did. The philosophy he follows is Jewish Nazism ie a superior race etc. Netanyahu will mouth platitudes as per usual. LL

Re: Palestinian toddler killed in 'Jewish settler' arson attack
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Church_of_the_Multiplication
he earliest recording of a church commemorating Jesus' feeding of the five thousand is by the Spanish pilgrim Egeria circa AD 380.[1]
"Not far away from there (Capernaum) are some stone steps where the Lord stood. And in the same place by the sea is a grassy field with plenty of hay and many palm trees. By them are seven springs, each flowing strongly. And this is the field where the Lord fed the people with the five loaves and two fishes. In fact the stone on which the Lord placed the bread has now been made into an altar. Past the walls of this church goes the public highway on which the Apostle Matthew had his place of custom. Near there on a mountain is a cave to which the Savior climbed and spoke the Beatitudes."
The church was significantly enlarged around the year 480 with floor mosaics also added at this time. These renovations are attributed to the patriarch Matryrios. In AD 614 Persians destroyed the original Byzantine church, and the exact site of the shrine was lost for some 1,300 years. In 1888 the site was acquired by the German Catholic society (Deutsche Katholische Palaestinamission) which was associated with the Archdiocese of Cologne. An initial archeological survey was conducted in 1892, with full excavations beginning in 1932. These excavations resulted in the discovery of mosaic floors from the 5th-century church, which was also found to be built on the foundations of a much smaller 4th-century chapel. The current church was built to the same floor plan as the 5th-century Byzantine church. Since 1939 it has been administered by the Benedictine order as a daughter-house of the Dormition Abbey in Jerusalem.
On 17 June 2015, the church was significantly damaged by an arson attack committed by Jewish extremists.[2] Hebrew graffiti, with the words “the false gods will be eliminated” (quoted from the Aleinu prayer), was sprayed on the church walls and follows a history of right-wing Jewish extremist arson and graffiti attacks against Christian sites.[3][4] Israeli officials have labelled the attack as "terrorism".[5]“Whatever repairs are not covered by insurance must be paid for by the Israeli government,” said Wadie Abunassar, media spokesman for the Assembly of Catholic Ordinaries of the Holy Land. “We believe this attack was tantamount to a terror attack, and when there is a terror attack the state is responsible for paying for compensation and prosecutes the perpetrators.”[6]

Same as it ever was, Lily...
IMO, they've got away pretty much un-noticed till now, because it's hard for normal people to get their heads around the concept of 'far Right Jews', for obvious reasons.
But these are NOT normal, ordinary Jews, they are Zionist extremists, and a totally different thing.
