I can tolerate black racers but that is about it.

Black racers? Non venomous constrictors as I recall. I like reptiles too. Most wonderful sight re snakes I ever saw was on Route 66 watching the sidewinders playing tag in the late afternoon sun. LL

I had sidewinders venture into my garden, LL but the rattlers which frequently liked my garden were scary, to be honest.

I currently only have a black one which occasionally takes a dip in my pool but is otherwise okay.

That must have been quite a sight to see those creatures doing that? How far along 66 did you go?

We picked up Route 66 at St Louis, Missouri, visited with friends in Oklahoma City and then went down all the way to LA (I am trying to remember details as it was over 30 years ago!!) LL
