Apparently her inbox us full if people agreeing with her, but so are prisons. A fifteen year old with a crush on an older male is perfectly common, most underage girls will have crushes on teachers and famous men even the father's of their friends. It's perfectly normal. What is not normal is for the adult upon finding out about the girls feeling to see it as an opportunity and cultivate a relationship with the girl where she agrees to sexual relations with the man. It doesn't matter if the girl was excited by the idea, she is fifteen and head over heels for a man and desperate to please and impress him and completely niiave. We are not talking about a fifteen year old with a crush on a seventeen year old sixth former in his own band but a famous, rich, very sexually experienced footballer in his twenties. His behaviour was predatory not normal, not understandable. He admits he engaged in sexual relations with the girl and exchanged messages with her about s.e.x, and he plead guilty not because he is innocent and needed an easier time but because there was evidence including video evidence that proved he groomed her and had sexual relations with her. It's not complicated.

Armed with a vague but believable list of job titles the professional commentator then starts churning out content. A tweet, a blog, a tweet about the blog, a blog about a tweet. Each time using any toe-hold to propel himself forward. Soon enough he’ll get asked to come on radio because a journalist has seen the blog. He tweets about the radio show. Another journalist spots he’s been on radio, and so invites him also. He then spams everyone with his media appearances, and picks up more Twitter followers which then give the appearance of some sort of prominence or credibility. When things are looking quiet, he manufactures some controversy: more material, more tweets, more blogs, more media.

Reminds me of Hopkins...of quite a few of the hatebloggers, in fact.

I can think of some who fit the bill.
