The campaign for North Carolina GOP Gov. Patrick McCrory, whose reelection bid remains too close to call, is seizing on reports of potential voter fraud to raise questions about the integrity of last week's election.

McCrory trails by as many as 5,000 votes against Democratic challenger Roy Cooper -- eight days after the polls closed.

The fraud concerns emerged in a separate local election in Bladen County, where officials have acknowledged “overtly similar” handwriting on several hundred absentee ballots.

While a formal complaint was filed by the winner of that local supervisor race, the McCrory campaign alleges some evidence suggests a group associated with the state Democratic Party may have paid people to cast votes for a write-in Democrat in that race and every other Democrat on the ballot, including Cooper.

Campaign official Ricky Diaz on Wednesday cited evidence suggesting potentially similar situations in other counties, though he declined to say whether this suggests voter fraud is widespread enough to impact the gubernatorial election....etc.

President Obama, speaking at a press conference in Germany, passed up the opportunity Thursday to tamp down the anti-Donald Trump protests back home -- urging those taking part not to remain "silent."

The president fielded a question on the protests during a joint news conference in Berlin alongside German Chancellor Angela Merkel.

"I suspect that there’s not a president in our history that hasn’t been subject to these protests," he answered. "So, I would not advise people who feel strongly or who are concerned about some of the issues that have been raised during the course of the campaign, I wouldn’t advise them to be silent."

Scumbag community agitator to the end. I hope the people who have been injured by the rioters, or who have had property damaged, send Obungle the bill.

President-elect Donald Trump will tap Sen. Jeff Sessions to be his Attorney General, according to Bloomberg News and the New York Times.
Sessions, the first U.S. Senator to endorse Trump, was rumored for a number of positions in Trump’s cabinet, including Department of Homeland Security and Department of Defense but it appears that the former Attorney General of Alabama has been selected for the highest law and order position in the administration.

Sen. Ted Cruz was also rumored for the position after he was spotted at Trump Tower, meeting with the president elect.

The official announcement from Trump’s transition team is expected later today.

In addition, Rep. Mike Pompeo has been selected by Trump as CIA director and retired General Mike Flynn has been selected as his national security adviser.

Pompeo, who serves on the House Intelligence Committee, is popular with the national security hawks in Washington as he supports restoring the intelligence community’s ability to collect bulk metadata. He is also a firm opponent of the Iran Deal and served on the House special committee to investigate the Benghazi attacks.


Doubtless the moonbats will find something to cry about with those three. But it wouldn't matter who Trump picked, the progressives would squeak.

I understand Trump is getting rid of Common Core, which should help?

At least partly, Bonny.  Common Core is an absolute nightmare.  I remember that Jeb Bush was going to use that in all the schools if he became President.  

I looked at some of the samples when it started, Lily. It made about as much sense as Obamacare - and as for their idea of 'simple' arithmetic.

I know, Bonny!  I guess it was all part of the dumbing down process.

Well, Team Hillary even mentioned that in the emails, didn't they? They were most irate at the thought of the public trying to educate themselves about what was going on.

Obama is, I suspect, beside himself with rage - he was probably counting on a job for life on the Supreme Court following a Hillary win. Now, he's just going to be a pest and a sh*t stirrer.

It's hard to adjust to the energy, optimism and positivity coming from the new brooms, after years of Obama and co dragging everything down.

Tell you one big difference. If the public want to know what Trump's transition team are doing, they just have to go to the team's website, FB or twitter. No-one needs to wait for news to be filtered and spun through CNN and co.
