And now Pat Brown has just recently announced that she intends to sue the family of missing child Madeleine McCann. She is doing this because the McCann’s lawyers threatened legal actions against companies that sell her latest book, which accuses the parents of various crimes of which they’ve already been legally cleared. Brown maintains her right to defame people while fraudulently presenting herself as an expert in a field she has never been trained is covered by the First Amendment — which in Brown’s mind legally extends to England.

This would all be inconsequential were it not for the fact that Brown wields undue influence for her legions of unsophisticated fans. The McCanns not wanting a book that basically accuses them of murdering and/or covering up the murder of their child is evidence that they are guilty and already her fans are repeating that mantra on every forum and news site they can find. That Brown’s book is filled with “facts” and theories (and wild imaginings) that are easily disproved makes no difference to her fans. Soon she will no doubt be on Nancy Grace´s show or some other cable news show spreading her fanciful conspiracy theories and ensuring that the investigation into the whereabouts of a child remains the smoke and mirrors carnival fun house where she can most easily dupe her marks.

To call this snake oil is unfair, because when snake oil salesmen sold you a cure all tonic that was actually watered down whiskey the only harm done was to your wallet and your pride. Pat Brown is hurting the cause of justice and destroying the truth. I’d rather she sold snake oil.

In the free, open market, her leaflet has bombed; she has taken the Stalinist attitude that she must be allowed to dictate to businesses what material they handle.

She wanted her leaflet to piggyback Kate McCann's successful book like a parasite on a host; market forces show there is no demand for her leaflet.

Cruise companies, do not want so called profilers on their ships where people are supposed to feel safe and enjoying themselves; speaking on how to stalk innocent people you may suspect of a crime. It is bad for business.

Profilers do not solve cases. They can give a psychological profile of the type of person that may have committed the crime/s. The rest is up to Law Enforcement.

That's a good point in the comments:

Aaargh! The word "suspect" does not mean the same thing as "perpetrator". It's very simple: the "perpetrator" is the person who committed the crime and a "suspect" is a person who may or may not be the perpetrator.

Mind you, the pitchforkers manage to turn 'witness' into 'perpetrator'....

Richard Walter is a tall very thin guy with glasses and to look at him the word genius isn't the first word you would think of. Proving looks can be deceiving, the man is a genius and more.

They also turn Arguido into Perpetrator, when it suits them. It makes you wonder why they keep on defending Goncalo Amaral who has been made an Arguido more times than I've had Hot Dinners.

This is a bit of an exaggeration as I often have hot dinners, but I expect you catch my drift.

Oh, and he's been Convicted. I expect him to go to Prison at his next Torture Trial as he is no longer a First Offender.

Indeed Sabot. The bottom line is that her expertise remains untested.

I am willing to bet that if The Lisa Irwin Case goes unsolved for very much longer then Pat Brown will become more bold in her condemnation of the child's parents. She is being a bit careful at the moment, apart from the odd tasteless joke.

1. Bennett knows that Englandshire is not part of the United States.

As though threat of a lawsuit were the only reason that the mainstream media isn't taking up her fairy-story. No. Mainstream media like to cover factual stories. PS. In my time when I was active in the business, she would NOT be classed as a celebrity and, in fact, would have had her nose pressed up against the window looking in. Since reality shows some things have changed.
