This sounds like the move of a loser to me. Gonc knows that he is going to lose. He is just trying to save the shirt on his back. Fortunately, no one wants that.

He decided it was easier to frame her parents and portray himself as a hero and mastermind super-sleuth.

Now it's all unravelling, he's lost the plot and turned on his own lawyer to try to delay the inevitable.

See how simple the truth is? The only 'conspiracy' is by those lying, spinning and smearing to protect Goncoward, and the Algarve tourist trade.

That's easy. The lawyer needs more time as this is a complicated matter.

He may well try that one, but he's used it before. Remember when he sacked Cabrita - or Cabrita sacked him - in the course of his doomed attack on Marcos Correia?

He parted company with Cabrita because Faro was 'too far' from Lisbon, then stalled for months because his next lawyer needed to study the case....I think the 'new lawyer' was the one he's just sacked?

Will he risk using that excuse again?
