I knew Miliband was going to have trouble when he stabbed his brother in the back.

Re: By-elections in England
Thing is, if someone backstabs their own brother to climb the greasy pole, they're generally fairly competent, in a psychotic sort of way. He's just an idiot. The only good thing I can think of that he's done was thankfully stopping us going to war over Syria, and I'm still none too clear about how that happened.

Ed Miliband Has My Full Support - Tony Blair
Tony Blair tells Sky News he is sure the Labour leader is "robust enough" to handle difficult times and has his full support.
That clinches it; Milliband will be gone by Christmas.

Oh, that'll really show them. Why not ENCOURAGE them to join the madmen, as there is a pretty good chance they're going to get their fool selves killed?

Re: By-elections in England
Labour party insults Rochester people on the day of the by-election, which UKIP is expected to win. Oh, it seems to have cost Millipede a Shadow Cabinet person...
http://news.sky.com/story/1377386/labour-mp-resigns-over-rochester-tweet
Shadow attorney general Emily Thornberry has resigned from the shadow cabinet after posting a "snobbish" tweet.
The MP for Islington South and Finsbury in London had posted a picture of a house draped with three England flags with a white van parked in the drive, and the caption "Image from Rochester".
The photo was taken during a by-election visit to Rochester and Strood in Kent - and the tweet by the former barrister sparked controversy on the social media site.
The senior Labour politician had been given a dressing-down by party leader Ed Miliband over the tweet/

Re: By-elections in England
http://news.sky.com/story/1377386/mp-quits-shadow-cabinet-over-rochester-tweet
Ms Thornberry's initial posting sparked a storm on Twitter, with one person writing: "How out of touch are you? And you wonder why no-one wants to vote for you and your vacuum-packed lefty snobs."
Another wrote: "Somebody flies England flags and drives a van? And Labour wonder why the working class are deserting them en-masse..."
A third said: "And? Thanks for the reminder of why no working man should ever vote Labour."
In a message to Ms Thornberry, Communities Secretary Eric Pickles said: "We should have pride in flying the Cross of St George - don't knock the national flag of England."
And UKIP leader Nigel Farage asked: "What is Labour's Emily Thornberry trying to imply about Rochester and Strood? I suspect she's let Miliband's mask slip."
I see she's MP for Islington She'll be having a group hug with the rest of the champagne socialists and complaining about nasty common people, no doubt.
Sometimes I swear the Tories and Labour are actually trying to make themselves deeply loathed. What happens after the next election/s if UKIP take England, and the SNP the majority of Scots MPs as well as our government, I have absolutely NO idea.
It's certainly going to be interesting.

Reckless Sworn In After UKIP By-Election Win
Mark Reckless is sworn in as UKIP's second MP, as Nigel Farage says his party beat the Conservatives in a "life-death struggle"
UKIP leader Nigel Farage says predictions for the General Election are "irrelevant" after his party secured a second Westminster seat with victory in the Rochester and Strood by-election.
Mark Reckless, who triggered the vote when he defected from the Conservatives in September, topped the poll with 16,867 votes - a majority of 2,920 over his former party.
Mr Reckless was heckled by some Labour MPs as he was sworn in at the House of Commons at 9.30am, little more than five hours after his victory was confirmed.
The result represents a serious blow for David Cameron, who personally spearheaded the Conservative campaign, with less than six months to go until the General Election.
I am sure you will be fascinated by the speed at which power changes hands here, Lily, we don't have to wait months for one load of useless politicians to be replaced by another load of useless politicians.
Votes in full from the BBC:
Mark Reckless (UKIP) 16,867 (42.10%)
Kelly Tolhurst (Conservative) 13,947 (34.81%)
Naushabah Khan (Labour) 6,713 (16.76%)
Clive Gregory (Green) 1,692 (4.22%)
Geoff Juby (Lib Dem) 349 (0.87%)
Hairy Knorm Davidson (Official Monster Raving Loony Party) 151 (0.38%)
Stephen Goldsbrough (Ind) 69 (0.17%)
Nick Long (People Before Profit) 69 (0.17%)
Jayda Fransen (Britain First) 56 (0.14%)
Mike Barker (Ind) 54 (0.13%)
Charlotte Rose (Ind) 43 (0.11%)
Dave Osborn (Patriotic Socialist Party) 33 (0.08%)
Christopher Challis (Ind) 22 (0.05%)
Please note, our deputy PMs party got less than 1% of the vote....

It's actually surprising how many of his Lordship's ideas are now law....votes at 18 - or younger in Scotland - all day pub opening, for instance.
