Who the feck does he think he is, telling European governments to spend more money on weapons? Most European leaders are more concerned about the prospect of ending up hanging from lampposts courtesy of their own citizens should Putin raise the price of fuel because of Washington sh*t-stirring.

And having seen the US leave 'democracy' behind in Libya, Afganistan and Iraq, many Europeans feel they would rather be protected from the US.

Impeach the liar, along with Obama, Nuland and Clinton.

I don't think it's actually deliberate with our lot, they're just incompetent and corrupt, and interested in just about anything besides the good governance of the nation. IMO, there's actual malice involved with Obama and the gang.

If he was a PM and not a president, he'd be out of power now as he would have to explain himself in the Commons, not just issue edicts.

Also, little though I like Cameron, he doesn't travel with an entourage. I know using Ryanair and travelling with the plebs is just a stunt, but he does mingle with the common herd, without being ten-deep in security. This also leads to embarrassing incidents involving jellyfish, or Mickey Mouse towels on Cornish beaches, but he doesn't act like an emperor. I don't like him, but he doesn't hide away from the public.

Even the royals don't carry on like Obama - they use scheduled airliners with as little security as possible.

I hadn't taken in the significance of the dates on which the Obama administration first started lying about Benghazi - right before the elections.

He would never have been re-elected if the truth had been known then; he might even have had to pull out of the contest.

I cannot believe I ever thought he seemed reasonable and wouldn't do anything too dreadful in his second term.

That is true, Bonny and many people knew something or another about that problem then.

I hoped that he would make a fabulous President as I wanted him to, even though I didn't rate him. I wanted to be proved wrong and that was the first time around.

Kerry will be upset. His chums in Turkey are currently on the receiving end of one of the traditional European May Day riots.....tear gas, water cannon, being used against protesters.

Similar uproar in Greece and elsewhere. You know, Lily, there are some European habits that really should be transported to Washington - your arrogant shower need a wake-up call.

It saddens me to say that sooner or later something will happen.

I hope Benghazi brings the whole lot down, Lily. Obama lied to the families of the victims, and it doesn't get much worse than that.

Under normal circumstances, it would bring the government down, Lily. I don't know, is the problem that, generally, Americans have thought their government is good, while Europeans have learned over the centuries that governments generally aren't on their side, but are a necessary evil that shouldn't be respected unless respect has been earned?

I find the contempt with which the Obama gang treat everyone - ordinary citizens, the military, etc - appalling.

To put it in context, Nixon acheived semi-civilised relations with China and was brought down by the Watergate nonsense.

Obama, and more particularly Kerry, is blundering around causing upset and trouble across the globe, while driving a coach and horses through your Constitution, and lying to try to cover up the death of an Ambassador and US servicemen.

And nothing happens.

We have lost our way, Bonny. Deception seems to be the order of the day.

I'm watching the hearings on Benghazi just now; I felt so, so sorry for General Lovell, being unable to do anything without orders from Washington.

Shameful, he looked heartbroken.
