I feel uncomfortable discussing these young children here, but one point I have often wondered about is exactly who looks after them all the time their parents are away e.g. when the McCanns are in Lisbon, doing telly shows in the U.S., Germany, Holland, and of course here in the UK, when Kate goes off and spends a few days with the Hubbard family, when they appear at Leveson, campaign for Hacked Off, attended Branson functions in London, meet their lawyers and PR helpers, go on all those charity runs, meet with Home Secretaries and DCI Redwood, carry out ambassadorial work for Missing People, and much else.

It is possible that whoever is their guardian - on what must be many occasions of absence - is someone in whom they can confide and perhaps talk to on the subject of their missing sister? The McCanns have made such a big thing of it, what with the media coverage as well, that it must be so hard for the twins to escape this subject, which surely must rather dominate their lives?

One wonders also about their class-mates; every one of them must be aware of the issue of missing Madeleinee - it must get talked about, even quietly, in whispers, in the far corners of the playground.

And there will probably be more of this to come for them
