MALAYSIAN AIRLINER 'SHOT DOWN' OVER UKRAINE

I'm not doubting that for a moment, I think I my have misunderstood.  I thought you meant the American public. 

It's not just the American public, Lily, it's every single tabloid in the UK coming out with this nonsense. And then they wonder why newspaper sales are still falling....

On Tuesday, spokesman Toner confirmed that Washington stood by “our belief”, despite the fact that DSB reports neither attributed blame, nor determined the exact location from which the missile was launched.

When asked to clarify how it could “possibly support your theory,” Toner only repeated, again:

“Because it does say that the MH17 was shot down by a BUK missile fired from separatist-controlled territory in eastern Ukraine, and we’ve said that from day one…”

Toner’s statement, however, contradicts the Dutch Safety Board’s official findings presented Tuesday. The report has not mentioned the exact launch location, only specifying that the warhead was detonated from somewhere within a 320 sq. km area in eastern Ukraine. The report also avoided speculation about who the territory was controlled by at the time.

That State Department numty flat-out lied about what the Dutch report actually said.

The Dutch Safety Board concluded the plane, which was carrying almost 300 people, was hit with a 9N314M-model warhead mounted on the 9M38-series missile. The weapon was fired from a BUK surface-to-air missile system from an area in eastern Ukraine.

Almaz-Antey maintains that in fact a 9N314 warhead was responsible. On Wednesday, they commented on the differences between the two warheads and whose defense forces may have been using the missiles mentioned by the Dutch investigators.


The manufacturer said the Russian army has not been using BUK missiles with 9N314 warheads filled with shrapnel different from a double T-shape, as these are “outdated,” while the production of such warheads was halted in 1982, Almaz-Antey stressed.

Almaz-Antey also noted that as of 2005, there were 991 missiles armed with 9M38M1 warheads in arms depots in Ukraine.


IMO, Washington has known from the very start that it was their Gallant Allies in Kiev that shot the plane down, for reasons currently unknown. I simply do not believe that they didn't see the launch on one of their many spy satellites - and the only possible reason for withholding those photos is that Kiev did it.

Just look at how much other material which is normally made public in the course of air crash investigations has been withheld in this one.

Like I say, it's the dog that didn't bark, Lily.

Can you imagine the world reaction if it was made crystal-clear that it was Kiev that shot down the plane? On top of Russia going into Syria - LEGALLY - and cleaning up the mess Washington has made?

Now, the Kremlin haven't suddenly turned into tree-hugging humanitarians overnight, but at least people can understand why they do things and what Putin's foreign policy actually is - protecting Russia and Russian interests and allies, and wiping out terrorist scum.

What Obama's real aim is - I have absolutely NO idea. No-one does, we can only see the results - chaos, misery and the shedding of innocent blood.

IMO, the world being presented with clear proof that it was Kiev that shot the plane down, especially after all the lies and warmongering from Washington, would cause a seismic shift in the world balance of power.

Heaven knows where this is going to end.  I despair.  I really do.  Obama is no statesman.

Oops, someone's off-message.

Yes, the plane may well have been shot down by a 'Russian-made BuK'. Because they were all made in Russia and then exported. Frequently to Ukraine.

This allegation was put forward by private investigator, Sergey Sokolov, who claimed that the CIA were helped by the Ukrainian secret service and Dutch security service, to place the bombs on the plane in Holland.
He said: 'This terrorist act was a pretext for firstly intensifying sanctions on Russia, secondly to show the world that Russia is a barbarian country and thirdly to strengthen the presence of Nato in Europe, particularly Ukraine.'


Which, of course, is exactly what happened. Please God, let Trump be elected and drag all the people responsible for this and other atrocities kicking and screaming into the daylight.
