Sadly, Lily, I don't think the haters are ever going to wake up and face reality - they have too much emotionally invested in their hate. It is interesting, though, that many of them have 'issues' with alcohol and substance abuse.

I do agree with you, Bonny, which is why they seem to easily slide into the role of enabler for Gonc.

Whoever really wrote that failed to see the irony of what they were writing - the whole 'without fear or favour' is exactly why UK police officers are simply not allowed to have opinions on anything - or if they do, they must keep it to themselves.

Instead, if Baulch and the Scrounge Fund are to be believed, there is a cabal of officers within the UK police that are ignoring the laws of both the UK and Portugal, the Met, the PJ, the AG of Portugal and the Portuguese courts to take part in a particularly nasty hate campaign against the family of a missing child.

Surely no police officer could support a dirty cop that perjured himself to cover up torture - unless they were a bit dirty themselves?

Let's hope the REAL police get email addies and names from Baulch - I should think that deliberately trying to undermine a Met investigation is a sackable offence. Unless, of course, the donation originates in Spain.

I Have written two pieces o n this case that I cannot get published. My hands are tied. We await the green light. In interim my puff pieces will breeze through editors desk JS

I have no doubt whatsoever they have spent 10 days setting this up, and that the low number of donations in recent days is because they were pooling it elsewhere, ready for this stunt.

His friends would make smaller donations, he would collate them and no doubt be very generous again, and then he would make the donation in the name of an anonymous group of policemen. Baulch was probably in on it - she can see who has made the donation and where the money comes from.

Will they give their all and sacrifice their families for him?

I am a long since retired cop, and am going to donate a portion of my pension to help a colleague who has had most of his taken from him in a hypocritical and vindictive campaign. This appeal MUST succeed.

Makes a change for dirtymac to donate in his real name. doesn't it? Gonzo must be costing him a fortune.

And why MUST it succeed? That's up to the Portuguese courts, not him. Why is dirtymac acting as if he has a personal stake in all this? Why isn't he content to be remembered as the hater that demonstrated how EASY it is to open the shutters of 5A from the outside?
