Hungary’s Viktor Orban says migrant quotas will ‘spread terrorism across Europe’
EU migrant quotas will spread terrorism across Europe, Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban told lawmakers on Monday as parliament prepared a legal challenge against the quota regime. In light of the Paris terror attack, “Brussels cannot challenge the right of member states to defend themselves,” Orban said. He added that “there will be no quotas or resettlements” in Hungary, Reuters reported. Orban was also quoted by AP as saying that the EU needs to “forget political correctness… and return to common sense” by adopting policies to protect its external borders, its culture and its economic interests.

Re: Hungary is new hot spot on migrant route into EU - Part 2
Yesterday early evening we went to the Christmas Market, saw people of many nationalities enjoying the stroll round the various stalls. Today, Tuesday, I have just returned from a shopping trip in Mariahilferstrasse, Vienna's answer to Oxford Street combined with New Bond Street. I saw ONE policeman, one traffic cop car and nary a sign of a soldier. I saw loads of shoppers, black, white, middle eastern, asian ie Chinese, Japanese and all points between. I saw no confrontations, no racist shouts or graffiti, in fact I saw a normal weekday in the centre of a large, European capital city. The number of obvious Muslims was no more than usual, no women wearing the full Muslim dress but quite a few wearing variations of the hijab. Saw about 6 Roma in colourful dress, a muslim woman smoking. I will say no more, other than that I am now the possessor of the very last Terry Pratchett Discworld novel. LL

Good, let's hope it stays that way, LL, especially as one of the Paris terrorists appears to have been in Vienna a few weeks back.

Re: Hungary is new hot spot on migrant route into EU - Part 2
I will, don't worry, dear one. The area my flat is in is very pricey and not likely to be where this creature was staying. There are, as in all cities, areas where one does not venture, but Vienna is quite small compared with, say London, and these areas are few. I know the city like the back of my hand so don't worry about me. http://greece.greekreporter.com/2015/11/18/greek-police-arrest-two-suspected-jihadists-in-kos-island/?utm_source=dlvr.it&utm_medium=twitter
Greek authorities on Tuesday arrested two Syrian men who are suspected jihadists on the island of Kos.
In light of the Paris terrorist attacks, Greece’s National Intelligence Service (EYP), the Hellenic Police and the Hellenic Coast Guard have beefed up investigations of refugees coming from Syria. Their efforts are focused on locating possible members of the Islamic State who are trying to enter Europe with fake passports, posing as asylum seekers.
According to Eleftheros Typos daily citing police sources, authorities located two Syrians on the island of Kos who might be jihadists. Upon searching the suspects’ cell phones, they found pictures of firearms, knives, an IS flag and jihadists with covered faces. In one of the pictures, a suspect is posing in front of the IS black flag.
During interrogation, one suspect admitted he is against Syrian President Bashar al-Assad, whom he called an enemy. However, he denied that he is an IS member.
The two Syrians arrived on Tuesday morning at Kos on a dinghy along with dozens of refugees. The refugee processing staff noticed that the two men were very nervous during the registration process. The refugee processing staff notified high officials of the Hellenic Police immediately. The two men were apprehended and authorities are continuing their investigation on their origins and previous activities.
According to the report, the two suspects are not on the wanted list of recorded IS fighters. However, they are still under coast guard custody. Greek authorities are in close cooperation with foreign secret services to find the true identities of the suspects and the possibility of being connected with IS. - See more at:
The latest moonbat meme is that the refugees are all 'fleeing ISIS'. No, they are not. There are millions of Syrian refugees in camps in government-held Syria - THEY are the ones who have fled ISIS. Some are slowly returning to whatever is left of their homes as ISIS is obliterated.
Most of the 'refugees' marching over Europe are actually fleeing the legal government of Syria. Now, some may have good reason for that, Assad isn't known for his gentle way with opposition.
But people really do need to be asking why all those men of military age are swarming through Europe instead of fighting for their country against fanatical terrorists.
Kurdish women do and many Syrian women are in the army - so what's wrong with the men?

Gov’t to challenge EU refugee quotas
By Hungary Matters
Parliament passed a law obliging the government to appeal at the Court of Justice of the European Union (CJEU) against the EU quota regime for distributing refugees. According to the law, the European Council’s September 22 decision to distribute migrants fails to take into consideration the principle of subsidiarity. Neither did national parliaments have the opportunity to present their positions. The preamble of the law gives recognition to the government’s past measures in connection with migration, expresses support for the protection of borders and the construction of border fences. It condemns the migration policy of the European Commission and rejects compulsory refugee quotas, arguing that they result in a rise in crime, the spread of terrorism and pose a “threat to our culture”.
The bill submitted by the allied governing Fidesz-Christian Democrats received 154 votes in support, 41 against and one abstention. Lawmakers of the governing parties, far-right Jobbik and independent Péter Kónya voted in favour and the opposition parties – the Socialists, LMP, Democratic Coalition (DK) and the Liberals- voted against it.

We have our clown stating that the Syrians he wants brought over here, have been thoroughly vetted. Problem is that there are no data bases in Syria to provide any info about them.
How is the EU getting around it? Does anyone know?
