On a re-read of that drivel about Trump and Russia, it sounds EXACTLY like the sort of tripe Michael Shrimpton used to churn out to get his ego stroked by conspiraloons.

I suggest everyone in the CIA resigns with immediate effect, as 'US Intelligence' is now an oxymoron, as they fell for a 4chan hoax.

I suggest sacking the entire CIA and handing it over to 4chan; give them a week, and they will have ISIS destroying themselves with infighting, as they won't know what's real and what isn't....

Oh, I nearly forgot.

Obungle made a farewell speech last night. I gather the last eight years have been totally awesome, and Obungle is the awesomest Prez ever.

The 'agent' was supposed to have been hired by a cabal of anti-Trump politicians which fits in with the claim that allegedly 4chan passed hoax info to Rick Wilson who then touted it to others like McCain who then gave it to the FBI/CIA.

Donald Trump dossier: Ex-MI6 officer 'fears for his life'
A former MI6 officer reportedly fled his home as he was named as the author of the controversial document.

A former British intelligence officer behind the dossier containing explosive but unverified claims about Donald Trump has fled his home fearing for his life, a report says.

Christopher Steele, a former MI6 officer who now runs an intelligence-gathering firm in London, has been identified as the author of the document, which alleges that Russia had amassed compromising material about the US President-elect.

Mr Trump, in a news conference, denounced the 35-page dossier as "nonsense", "fake news" and "phoney stuff".

Mr Steele, 52, fears a backlash from Moscow now that his name has been made public, the Daily Telegraph said.

He is "terrified for his and his family's safety", an unspecified source close to Mr Steele was quoted as saying in the newspaper.

According to the report, the former spy packed his bags, left his cat with a neighbour and fled his home in Surrey on Wednesday morning.

Mr Steele reportedly was a spy in Russia in the 1990s and has maintained several contacts there.

He serves as director of Orbis, a firm founded in 2009 by former British intelligence professionals.

According to its website, Orbis has a "global network" of experts and "prominent business figures".

Backlash from Russia? That, frankly, is the least of his problems.

He should be more worried about Arkancide, or being found dead in a field, having slashed his wrists with a butter knife.

He did, after all, create a Dodgy Dossier for $$$$$$$$. And to interfere in another country's elections.

Irrespective of the whether or not the stories are true, the public disclosure of that name would put the personal security of that individual directly at risk.

IMO, the D Notice that was promptly ignored just put the finishing touch to this epic farce, Lily.

I confess, I find it hard to feel much sympathy for Steele. He wasn't doing a job for Queen and country, (at least, I hope not) he was caught red-handed taking $$$$$ to make up rubbish, to interfere with the result of a US election.

It's absolutely astounding that he didn't even manage to accuse the correct 'Michael Cohen' of being involved with Putin - Steele couldn't have been up to much as a spy.

Incidentally, I hope Steele is aware that as a UK citizen, resident in the UK, he is bound by UK libel laws?

Well I suspect that he may have forgotten those laws in the rush to $$$$ Bonny?

As well as being extremely entertaining, this attempt to smear Trump has all sorts of ramifications.

They (the other side) are doing every single thing (no matter how stupid) to not get him inaugurated.
