Theresa May will travel to Washington next week to meet with President Donald Trump, a senior White House official has confirmed.

The Prime Minister will be the first foreign leader to meet the 45th President since his inauguration.

It will be a shot in the arm for Mrs May, who was only the 10th world leader to be called by Mr Trump following his victory in November.

Sky's Chief Political Correspondent, Jon Craig, said: "When I last spoke to Downing Street this trip was going to take place in February but it now looks likely to happen on Thursday."

The controversial Steve Bannon, chief strategist to the new President, is behind the trip being brought forward, according to The Daily Telegraph.
Downing Street has not yet confirmed the visit, but in an interview with the Financial Times Mrs May discussed potential talks with the new President.

She spoke of her belief that Mr Trump was committed to advancing the "special relationship" with the UK - but that she expected "very frank" talks on areas such as NATO where their opinions seem to differ.

"I'm confident the USA will recognise the importance of the co-operation we have in Europe to ensure our collective defence and collective security," she told the FT.

Mrs May also said she was "confident we can look at areas even in advance of being able to sign a formal trade deal".

On its website, organizers of the march are promoting their work as “a grassroots effort” with “independent” organizers. Even my local yoga studio, Beloved Yoga, is renting a bus and offering seats for $35. The march’s manifesto says magnificently, “The Rise of the Woman = The Rise of the Nation.”

It’s an idea that I, a liberal feminist, would embrace. But I know — and most of America knows — that the organizers of the march haven’t put into their manifesto: the march really isn’t a “women’s march.” It’s a march for women who are anti-Trump. ..full story at link.

1. Trump's tax affairs would involve a veritable Everest of documents.

2. Huge sums of money are involved.

3. His accountants will be doing their job and ensuring he pays as little tax as possible.

Attempts by the President's team to rubbish reports of thin crowds at his inauguration show journalists are in for a tough time.

But reporters were caught red-handed LYING, yet again, sweetcheeks.

There was the reporter who falsely claimed that the bust of MLK had been removed, and who was then forced to apologise when his falsehood was demonstrated.

And there is the whole matter of the inauguration crowd size, where a pic taken some time before the inauguration, when Soros-funded Brownshirts were rioting and preventing normal people getting into the site, was presented as 'proof'.

Were there as many people there as attended Obama's first inauguration? I doubt it, that was a one-off, with special circumstances.

But honest photography reveals that there were more or less the same number as at Obama's second - and that didn't have rioting Brownshirts outside.

The media is doing itself no favours by continually reporting dishonestly - nowadays, they get found out.

I guess you just can't fool all the people all the time.

It's a pity the strong wimmenz hadn't put as much effort into cleaning up their litter, as they did into dressing up as their own sexual and reproductive organs.

The worst of it all is that they are clueless of the implications of many of the matters they are marching about.

For instance. they have NO clue about Sharia Law and how it can and does affect women. Or jihadists entering the country and the implications they can bring. Certainly no idea of the real cost of refugees/illegal immigrants and what it might mean to them. I mean, it's all free innit?

They are still failing to grasp that, for every one of them preening themselves due to being a strong wimmenz for wearing a tea cosy shaped to resemble their genitals, there are dozens of people sitting at home watching and silently fuming.
