I blame Bennett's lot for it all. Ever since they kissed the envelope, it has been all downhill for Amaral.

Don't be silly. The Court has sequestered that money. Goncalo Amaral now only has the access of the money that most of us would have. The Court have removed his right of access to the profit he made from his book

All of the profits from his book have been seized by The Portuguese Court.

The McCanns are only asking for the profit that he made from his book which has accused them of being responsible for the unproven death of their daughter. The McCanns have never asked for more than that. They never wanted his house.

Unfortunately, Goncalo Amaral has already spent some of the money that he made from the book, with such things as Jaguar cars and face lifts for his wife, and let's face it, these things are not easy to recover. You can't claw back a face lift, and the car is never worth what he paid for it, as we all know when trying to sell a car for what we paid for it.
So, to make up the short fall The Court has sequestered his house. This was done by The Portuguese Court , and not by The McCanns.

But The Court did allow the right of Sofia Leal Amaral to register her claim against the marital property, which I suspect she will have done. Although it won't have been necessary since she is entitled in Law anyway.

He spent it on trash, didn't he? On makeovers - paid for by Madeleine McCann - like some idiot teenager on a reality TV show.

He and B$own show their utter lack of class because of this bizarre belief that the McCanns are 'rich'. No, they aren't. They are a pair of fairly ordinary middle class NHS doctors.

When Gonc, B$own and their ilk look at the Find Madeleine Fund, they see it through their own greedy, grasping eyes - they are fantasising about what THEY would do with the money.

The likes of them see trips to Vegas, earrings, makeovers...that sort of flashy gewgaw.

Which says all that is necessary about the likes of them.

Don't bank on it, Maggs. Goncalo Amaral has never paid anyone to date that I know of. He hasn't paid his Taxes, or his Mortgage, or his Brother, despite the fact that he made a lot of money from his Book. And he did have almost a year during which he could have done so. Nearly a year during which he could have paid his debts, but chose not to do .

Do you know Sabot, all this could be a put up job on Gonc's part.

I recall that Morais announced that it was 'an inheritance' and banned further discussion about it. Which means that she was, as usual, lying to cover something up.

One of the National Republican Guard troops who first came running to the village of Praia da Luz vacation apartment and the couple McCan is suspected of having received more than 120 thousand euros in cash 'live' shortly after the disappearance of Maddie.

This element of GNR is essential for all research, as it was the first to reach the place where the girl disappeared, and also one of the first contact with parents. The TVI found that the sudden case of 120 thousand euros in the hands of the GNR is being investigated by the Judicial Police (PJ).


On the night Maddie McCann disappeared, the first authorities on the scene were the soldiers of GNR.
Had them search the apartment, do initial searches, talking with the couple McCann and directing the hit the beach and town, including open areas for sewage and drainage works, the few dozen meters of urbanization that the British family had rented for the holidays.

According to testimony provided in case the military were witnesses to the GNR for a ride to high hours of Gerard McCann, from the church in Praia da Luz All key moments to see what has happened to the missing child.

TVI contacted by the military in question denied the existence of such deposits, and suggested the possibility of his name being used improperly in opening these accounts. EVICTION ORDER

Gonçalo Amaral doesn’t live here any more

Last month, Gonçalo Amaral, the former PJ coordinator in charge of the investigation of Maddie’s case, was evicted from his rented apartment in Portimão. Lack of payment of the monthly rent of the furnished three piece apartment, around 600 euros, was the reason claimed by the landlord and the Court satisfied his demand.

After getting rid of the Jaguar, bought with the royalties of the book about Maddie, the ex-PJ has just released a new book.

I wonder how he is planning to pay a lawyer when he seemingly can't pay his rent?

I have no doubt this will somehow be blamed on the McCanns.

That they have taken his house away. But it looks more like others have taken legal action against him.

Bonny - he will almost certainly be entitled to legal aid.
