Erm, She knows it's TRUE? I suspect she thought we wouldn't find out, but we learned our lesson the hard way with all of the false translations that we were fed. We do our own research nowadays, with the help of Bonny and Pedro.

The 'judicial secrecy' and 'lies' of the press

Who lied in the 'Maddie case'? The answer is in regard to the former inspector Gonçalo Amaral. All theses fantastic and never proven that certain media are spread in his book. And still no evidence to support them.

Gonçalo Amaral should be a man full of himself. He was responsible for an investigation in dire 'Maddie case', but according to the balance that makes itself, all were to blame except him.

According to Gonzalo, blame the fact that the McCanns' apartment was not guarded, the British police who did not give all the assistance, journalists who covered the mess, the Government of His Majesty then lobbied the Portuguese Government to press left , the prosecutors, the leaders of the PJ, the conspiracy of the powerful and - let him continue to vent - no-left for the CIA, the Freemasons, Opus Dei, the Trilateral Bildberg and the Pope, the usual suspects of conspiracy theories that circulating on the Internet.

The same inspector should not be inhibited (not to mention ashamed) because after suspicions fall on him because of the conduct of 'if Joan' (another missing girl, whose mother, condemned by his death, accuses PJ of the have tortured) and the disaster of the 'Maddie case' weapon was a national hero and holder of the truth, against everything and everyone, and maintains an absurd theory that can not stand a minimally structured analysis.

Amaral also should not have thought it was right not to speak and write in detail about a process that - though thoroughly violated - is still under judicial secrecy. Or is it not well be judge in his own.

But the most interesting book of the former inspector is get to know where they were born the famous 'lies' of the media, that everyone talks about. Finally, there is the thesis that more choppy left brain lit. And certain newspapers, the lack of a better, published without contradiction, without investigation, without logic and without evidence.

But Gonzalo continues to assert its 'conviction' that Maddie died in apartment. Must have inherited the idea of this medieval justice 'conviction' without proof, or Alice, Carroll, the idea that the head is cut first and then do the trial, or of 'The Stranger' by Camus, setting the importance of "facies" of the criminal or whether or not to cry before death.

The rule of law is based on proof beyond doubt. The idea that innocence prevails over the guilt - when there is no evidence to the contrary - separates civilization from barbarism.

Unfortunately, we have remnants of barbarism in our midst. Up until recently headed the PJ of Portimão. I hope that was the last.

And that is the $64,000 question, isn't it? We know Morais and co have been spreading lies and anti-McCann propaganda all along; more and more of the Team Gonc lies are being exposed all the time.

With the likes of Levy - money, I would say. As for the rest, who knows? I do hope we find out, though.

Here is my thoughts then..

Morais, knows, or maybe related to Amaral. They were very much aware that he was made a Arguido the day after he was put on the case. So maybe they tried to get the case cracked to make Amaral look brilliant and not the incompetent thug that he is / was. By leaking false stories suggesting the McCanns had killed Madeleine and that there was evidence to back it up, played into their hands as the British media fell for it hook, line and sinker.

However the biggest problem was the release of the files as it showed to the world how flawed Amaral's argument was.

And as for the ""ACE UP HIS SLEEVE"" we all know it was utter rubbish. If he had information regarding the case, he would have told the PJ about it

That was a pretty powerful piece of journalism. Written in July 2008. Imagine what is going to come out after The Libel Trial. Goncalo Amaral would be wise to get out now while he still can.

GA was not suspended without pay and was not sacked. He was taken from that particular case and actually promoted. He asked the PJ if he could continue in his position and write a book to defend himself from the filth written about him. He was told by the PJ hierarchy that was not possible so he decided to retire in order to be able to exercise his right to speak his mind. And so he did.

Who said he was? This is current; the PJ wish him removed from - whatever they call their ex-officers roll and his pension stopped.

It isn't going to go away.....
