From timing and what's written, I think we can nail direct responsibility for the "Gerry not Kate's father" leak to Amaral.

Search plans to date: I will be arriving in Lisbon, Portugal on February 6, attending the libel trial of Goncalo Amaral, then driving down to Praia da Luz from where the search will begin, and returning to Lisbon for my flight back to the US on February 21. I demand to see the Morais/ Gonc accounts. I wish to know where the money went. I want to see the full detailed accounts. If I don't, see the accounts, I have no other option but to believe it is a scam and will demand an investigation.

As a contributor to the "fund" I second that. The absence of the promised detailed accounts suggests that Sargento and Morais may be involved in some sort of fraudulent activity.
