It`s been reported that this is the case by a poster on MCF who appears to be a very reliable source. Suggestion is that revised date may be notified this week.

No such thing as a 'very reliable source' on a forker site. They would have sat on this till the day the trial was supposed to begin if they could have got away with it.

Fortunately, those days are long gone.

Oh, someone's put their head and career on the legal chopping block, have they? Sure he's actually GOT a new lawyer, are we?

BTW, wrong spinny - it's supposed to read, Dr Goncalol is a lawyer himself, so he will be able to bring the legal genius who has agreed to represent him for nothing - nay, to PAY for the privilege of representing Big Rock - up to speed in a couple of hours. I think that I probably know why the trial is being postponed:

One reason, at least. And I think there are at least two


1) Goncalo Amaral doesn't want to go to the trial he has set up against Marcos (and another ACED person) with the added label of a being a libeller and twice proven liar. Cos if it is found that he has libelled the McCanns with untruths, then it is tantemount to him being a liar for the second time. That would go strongly against him in the Marcos case

I suspect that the forthcoming libel trial will tear Amarals reputation to shreds.

No way does he want that before Marcos' trial. Amaral is determined to pull him down. For personal reasons, ?hatred, as well as it making his position stronger.

1. Cabrita dropped Gonc.

2. The trial has been postponed because Gonc has no legal representation. Now, there may well be other reasons involved in the postponement - none of which the forkers will like. I am sure we will get more RELIABLE information before too long.

Amazing the silence from Morais and co, isn't it? Maybe she still hasn't worked out a way to spinny this.

If Amaral was a Lawyer, wouldn't he represent himself? Who would know more about the case than he?

I have heard that the trial has been postponed. Don't know why or any details but a new date should be known in the next few days.

D'uh from me, Tony - it hadn't dawned on me that if Gonc had had a snowball's in Hell chance of winning, Cabrita would never have run away from him, due to the megabucks a successful defence would bring him.

Oh, and Cabrita would have been more than happy to travel to Lisbon to speak to his illustrious client, if there had been a word of truth in that ridiculous story about travelling expenses.

Wonder if Amaral's lawyer dumped him because of Brown. She may have scared him off, her being such a wonderful profiler, and all. She might have uncovered Gonc's lies.

I wouldn't be surprised if it was something to do with the diary, Tony - I don't think lawyers anywhere like their clients outright lying to them.

It's one thing lawyers suspecting their clients are doing it, it another having their noses in it.

Whatever it is, it is something major, for his old friend and ally to walk away at this time, when Gonc needed him most.

Why, if a lawyer is so sure he can win a money case, would he walk away from a massive payout?
It is my belief, there is more to the dumping than money.
