According with the article 39 of the Portuguese Civil Procedure Code, the BGA has 20 days to find another lawyer, otherwise the court will ask to the Portuguese Bar to give him one officially IF the BGA couldn't be notified, since if he is notified and does not appoint another lawyer, the trial will go on without a lawyer representing him,

Frankly, I cannot see too many rushing to represent Gonc, unless there is a Portuguese attorney like sans, who would represent him in the interests of fair play.

A court-appointed lawyer is NEVER going to get on top of this before February 9th.

When a lawyer doesn't want to represent a client anymore, usually for reasons as lack of payment, he usually does not renounce to the power attorney; instead he asks the client to choose another lawyer and then the client sign another power attorney to the new lawyer replacing the former.

Yes, I think that is pretty standard anywhere in the civilized world? Just leaving your client in the lurch is entirely another matter...

Guest, whoever you are, I don't know to be honest what is going on. I just copied the stuff over and if you read the post, properly, I have said it is NOT officially confirmed.

Time will tell, and no I have NOT said Correia is spreading information about Amaral to discredit him, so stop twisting what I am posting.

And if Amaral's lawyer has decided to renounce before a judge and waiver his Power of Attorney, to me that means he doesn't approve of something.

Thing is, if the Generalissima hadn't tried to bully and intimidate J4, there would always have been that slight doubt...but her stomping around issuing threats, claiming her beloved Gonc had been taped threatening to kill his ex and her family was recorded without his consent...well.

I am not convinced that those insane charges Gonc has brought were not the last straw for Cabrita; he is an officer of the court, after all, and Gonc is trying to make a fool of the whole justice system.
