Critical to the Government

Marinho Pinto considers proposed map judiciary a "freak"

The bastonário Bar Association (AO), Marinho Pinto said on Thursday that the Government's proposal to recast the map judiciary is "an aberration", by not taking into account the specific realities of the country.

"The map is designed as the judiciary is an aberration because it does not take into account the specific realities of the country," Marinho Pinto said, adding there are court cases that are distant "five or six miles of each other and do not close" while there are courts "which are located at distances of tens of kilometers and close to further increase the costs of justice for the people."
Marinho Pinto was speaking to the Lusa agency regarding the report of the Order of Government on the proposal for the extinction of 46 courts in the judicial reorganization of the structure.

Marinho Pinto is a rather imposing figure, IMO, who also is very much on top of his brief.

I can see why Gonc, Morais and the rest of the Team are scared of him.

He also seems to be of some importance, Bonny. Just the sort of person Portugal needs.

Which explains Morais' hysterical rantings about him and childish attempts to smear him.

And he's on to the two Cases that most interest us.

Morais is wasting her pathetic time. Pinto and a few others are going to blow this whole thing wide open. And this is just people of importance. Heaven knows how many other Portuguese Citizens have had enough of this.

So the Court at Faro is a busy place this morning with Pinto, Duarte, Aragao, Dores, and various members of the Amaral family past and present doing battle over Goncalo Amaral's honour.

Is Joana Morais keeping everyone up to speed on what is going on? Or is she simply ignoring the events which are taking place in court today?

I suspect we may have to wait for CdM to report - the Portuguese tabloids do love a juicy scandal.

I confess, I am still awestruck by Gonc's foolishness in handing Marcos Correia a platform like this. When shouting about your 'honour', it is generally a good idea to make sure you HAVE some honour to begin with....

For instance, it is a very bad idea to pretend you are an honourable man when you have court judgements against you for trying to cheat your own brother out of a house...

I risked a look at twitter - it doesn't get any better, does it?

Facebook? That's about their level.

FB is the internet equivalent of scribbling on walls, it is of little or no value. The bots ignore FB and twitter, it's just background noise and static.

'Being discussed on FB' counts for about as much as 'being discussed by a bunch of old gossips on a street corner'

Also the trial of Marcos Aragão Correia begins today, in a trial instigated by Amarals proceedings against him.

Could prove interesting. and Amaral's first wife is testifying against him I believe.

Wrong wife; it's Gonc's second ex-wife who is testifying against him - she who is frequently referred to by forkers as Lovely Sofia.

How very interesting! 'Dr' Nigel Martin Redsquare Roberts is sounding equally rattled by Marinho Pinto in his latest dirge!

I wonder why they are all so upset?

They do not realise how embarrassing they appear when relegated to gossiping on facebook in private chat rooms because their libellous filth cannot be stomached by decent human beings who ban them from more formal places.

What is he on about? Something to do with pyjamas? They seem to be talking to themselves. They don't appear even to talk to each other these days. They are all rambling about something different.

Seems the trial has been postponed for a second time.

Now to be heard on April 18th.
