He's keen enough on rumours, smears and theories when he's started them. Especially when he's invented foul muck about other people, and is talking sh*te, I mean, expressing his Hypothesis, about fridges and similar stupidity.

The McCanns worst enemy? His own, more like - he seems incapable of keeping his mouth shut and NOT WHINING.

Gonçalo Amaral, coordinator of the Judiciary Police of Portimão consisted accused in the case which investigates alleged attacks on Leonor Cipriano, which were held in October 2004. The woman complained of having been beaten the punch, and kick with a cardboard tube during "informal inquiries" that have elapsed without the presence of defense counsel and without knowledge of the Public Prosecutor investigating the child's disappearance, eight-year-old daughter Eleanor.

Gonçalo Amaral was the coordinator of the PJ in Faro height and have been why it was constituted defendant. Six inspectors of the Central Directorate for Combating Gangsterism are also defendants and already a line of recognition. Four were not recognized by the complainant, who identified the other two but exonerated them of assault. Leonor Cipriano was sentenced to 16 years in prison for the murder, co-authored with his brother, Joan. The child's body was never found.

His life was a shambles long before the McCanns had the misfortune to ever hear of PdL.

Gonçalo Amaral should never have been put on trial for these accusations - they have no basis in reality, said lawyer Santos de Oliveira to Dagbladet.

He represents Amaral in the trial after the Madeline-disappearance in 2007.

Santos de Oliveira does not want to speculate on how his client will do it court. It is expected that, if convicted, the case will be appealed to the Supreme Court.


Oh, Gonzo's above the law of Portugal now, is he? And it does sound as if he knows he's going to lose. Anyone who couldn't see that some time ago really shouldn't have put so much faith in Officially Edited Court Reports from a Gonzo groupy.

Has Gonzo paid the bill for his misadventure in Faro yet, when Ms Duarte last used him as a floormop? He was ordered to pay all the court costs for that, but strangely, seems reluctant to mention that.

Giving Gonzo money is about as clever as throwing away money on the Icke beer'n'pizza fund.

There is a legal conflict in whether or not Kate and Gerry McCann can represent their daughter in court. According to a decision made in British Court, Madeleine should also be represented in court.

The court now has to determine what parties will be legally represented in court.

Once the judge has decided, we are ready to meet in court once again and answer all questions. Amaral has performed all his duties as a policeman, and that is why we are rejecting the sky high demand for compensation, said Santos de Oliveira.

Nobody went to court on Tuesday. There was no session at all.
We heard about the postponement on Monday. The filing of documents took place between Friday afternoon and Monday, as far as I know.

Gonçalo Amaral's lawyer filed a request for the court to evaluate the McCann couple's legitimacy to file a lawsuit in their daughter's name, as she is a Ward of Court in the UK.

He did not ask for any postponement. It was the judge that issued a 15-day deadline for him to submit the relevant documentation.

Afterwards, Dr Isabel Duarte filed a document that is related to Mr Alan Pike, and asked for a postponement of Tuesday's session.

This information is not covered by judicial secrecy and can be freely shared.

So Gonzo's lawyer filed papers in a panic over the weekend? Over something that he's known about for years - that the whole world knows about?

If he's as useless as that, no wonder he doesn't understand what the WoC designation on an abducted British child means.

And good for Ms Duarte - Gonzo's been merrily libelling Alan Pike, so he really cannot start crying if his own lawyer's actions gave Ms Duarte an opening to put him straight about one or two things.

Filing at the weekend to cause a delay? That's real desperation.

Sofia de Landerset Rachel Ward, I hope that my above comment explains a bit about this account. It is not a 'fund' or a private company, but simply friends who got together to try and help. So far, all donations have been fully spent on legal expenses and we have never experienced a surplus. Nonetheless, if at the end of the proceedings any money is left, we will be very happy to donate it to a Portuguese charity that supports children. I know that for all of us who are involved in this more closely, as well as for Gonçalo Amaral, this would be a no-brainer.

Odd that they never produce anything resembling accounts, isn't it? There's been nothing for FOUR YEARS.

And that is a very good point. Doubtless Gonzo thought he was being awfully clever, delaying the libel hearing for YEARS, but it's bitten him on the bum.

As soon as Crimewatch aired and it became clear he hadn't bothered his backside to even check the night creche records, he was doomed.

And it is entirely his own fault - he doesn't help himself by bleating to anyone who'll listen and trying to blame everyone else. It was the PJ that, rightly, sacked him, not the McCanns - his laziness and incompetence have brought shame on all the other hard-working, honest police officers in Portugal.

Sofia de Landerset Kay Young, thank you for your kindness. Mr Amaral still receives part of his pension so the basics for daily survival are not at stake. Winning the libel trial is the single most important matter now, as it will enable him to recover some sort of normal life. This is why we use all the monetary gifts to finance his defence. I know that he has been offered money directly before, and he has turned it down and asked for any help to go towards the legal expenses.

That's not what Gonzo said in his latest whinge. They really need to get their pity party sorted out.

And no-one has explained why Gonzo's lawyer isn't prepared to wait for the money till his client wins. A confident lawyer would, without a second's thought.
