I am trying to stay awake at the moment. All of this sleep can't be good for me.

But if I sleep now, Lily, I shall be awake at 4 o'clock in the morning again. But the nights are now getting shorter. At least they are here.

I can barely tell the difference, I think 'day' is the bit when it's grey and raining for a few hours, as opposed to dark and raining?

Surfers took a more lighthearted approach to the weather and decided to swap their cars for boards to get around Bude in north Cornwall

Thank you, Bonny. My beloved Afghan, Hamlet came from Bude. So that has set me off bawling again. So stupid after nearly 45 years.

However, it ain't actually raining here at the moment. And my bulbs are flowering. Just about to get the propagator out and have another useless go at Tomatoes and Runner Beans

The Broad Beans, as usual, are doing fine.

I actually tried surfing not far from there many moons ago. But not in the street, dear me no.

It hasn't rained for about twelve hours now, so it must be about due to start again...

Those photos are amazing.  Was in Bude 20 years ago when driving around Cornwall.  Beautiful places there.

We had intense rain here from the beginning of last week.  I don't mind a bit unlike what it must be like for you guys.  I can count on getting sun which makes all the difference.

I do hope it picks up for you.

I have a mango and banana trees - something I've not had before.  The mangoes are growing and the first lot of bananas should soon be ready.   Shocked    Am only mentioning it because it's strange to me.

You're a bit inland, aren't you, Sabot, so you haven't got the Atlantic in your garden?

Yes, I am inland a bit, but not so sure about the Atlantic as my garden is awash and the winds are very bad.
