The REAL summary of all the files cleared the McCanns of wrongdoing.

Wasn't Gonzo told to provide that MONTHS ago?

Speaking to reporters after the hearing today, Mr McCann said that Mr Amaral's claims had caused a 'tremendous amount of damage' but he hoped that people would now see that all he and his wife wanted was a conclusion to the case.
'We want to make clear that it is a very complex investigation, it is a huge dossier and we just want as much as possible to be worked through,' he said.
He hoped continuing investigations would catch whoever snatched his daughter. He said: 'Whoever took Madeleine is still out there and whoever the person is they must have been laughing these past six years at what was told in the book, that there was no predator out there.
'There was and he or she may strike again.'

Kate McCann told a Portuguese court today how one of her twin children had asked her about claims she had hidden Madeleine.

Kate and Gerry are suing Goncalo Amaral, the ex cop who wrote a book about the disappearance of their daughter.

He claimed Madeleine had died in their holiday apartment and Kate and Gerry had covered up her death.

At the libel trial in Lisbon today, Kate spent 55 emotional minutes detailing the distress the book and follow-up TV documentary had caused them.

And she revealed the details of his outrageous claims had even reached their nine-year-old young children.

She said: “Sean asked me in October last year: 'Mr Amaral said you hid Madeleine, didn’t he?’

“I just said ‘he did, and he has said a lot of silly things.”

She said her son had heard abut the contents of the book on a radio news bulletin as he travelled on his school bus.

Kate, wearing a black and pink floral dress, also told of the devastating effects the book had had on their family.

She said: “I believe after the book things got worse and were compounded because we were in amore desperate situation and felt defeated.”

As she finished her evidence Kate, 46, said: “I do believe in freedom of speech, but I don’t believe freedom of speech means the freedom to slander.”

Madeleine, who was nearly four, disappeared from her family's holiday apartment in Praia da Luz in the Algarve on May 3 2007.

Her parents say Amaral’s false allegations damaged the hunt for their daughter and increased their anguish.

But the former cop, 56, insists everything written in the book was already contained in the public police and court case files.

The hearing continues.

Gonzo's a lying sh*te. His nasty little potboiler contains screeds of invented garbage that bears no resemblance to the police files. No doubt that will all be in the documented evidence presented to the judge.

I would say the McCanns pretty much wiped the floor with Gonzo the Tramp today. Actually, Portugal should be ashamed of itself for letting Gonzo take his vendetta so far. The man's got a rap sheet as long as your arm for various Bad Acts, generally involving lying and cheating.

Incidentally, is the latest new lawyer a bit, well, thick, as well as scruffy? He doesn't seem to know the difference between the real police and his unsavoury, disgraced client - who was booted off the case and then left the PJ under a cloud - conducting a sadistic vendetta against innocent people.

The judge had to require they appear today as amaral ducked out last month. He must have been desperate to find some way of stopping the trial once he realised his little helpers had misled him over the declaration of death and ward of court laws.

DING DING DING!

Frankly, if a defendant in a UK court had been told to provide proof of income, and had not done so, despite MONTHS having passed, there is every chance he'd be sent to the cells to cool his heels for contempt of court.

But then, Gonzo has a long history of treating the Portuguese justice system with contempt, and did it again today, turning up looking like a tramp.

Hope he gets sent the bill for bulk buys of Febreze to get rid of the BO, stale booze, and fag reek.

I don't actually think the fact (if it is a fact) that Sean mentioned something from GA's book to his mother counts as extreme distress, disharmony or whatever else the McCanns are suing for.

I hope the scum that coats those vile and putrid Facebook hellholes are proud of what they have done and continue to do to the twins.

They never stop to think - they like to pretend they care about children, but each and everyone of them is responsible for the continuing harm done to the twins. And that includes inciting people to harm them and their parents.

The dreadful thing is, the scum WILL be proud. Like Gonzo, they hate ALL the McCann family. And that includes Madeleine and her brother and sister.

So, he didn't want the court to know how much his potboiler made? It doesn't really matter as the court will already have the answer from the publisher.
