Russia has shown its solidarity with the people of France in an unusual way - by donating a new puppy to carry on the memory of Diesel, the police dog killed by a suicide bomber on Wednesday.
The little puppy, called Dobrynia, has been sent to Paris by the Russian government to help 'in the fight against terrorism'.
It will be trained up to continue to vital work that Diesel, a seven-year-old Belgian shepherd, was doing before she was killed in the raid on the apartment block in Saint-Denis, where Paris massacre mastermind Abdelhamid Abaaoud was hiding out.

People in Brussels are being urged to avoid busy areas such as concerts and transport hubs after the city's terror alert was raised to the highest possible level.

The Belgian capital's metro transport service will be closed until Sunday afternoon over the "serious and imminent threat".

Belgium's Prime Minister said the terror alert was as a result of "quite precise information about the risk of an attack like the one that happened in Paris".

Heavily armed soldiers and police are patrolling the city amid fears at least one suspect in the Paris attacks could be in Belgium.

Belgium's crisis centre website said it had asked local authorities to cancel large events, urge people to avoid crowds and postpone soccer matches....etc.

Say thank you to the multi-kulti morons - this is the first time since 1945 that Belgium has had the military on its streets.

The city remains in a state of lockdown as Belgium's Prime Minister warns of a "serious and imminent" threat.

Schools and the Metro in Brussels will remain closed on Monday with Belgium's PM fearing "an attack like in Paris".

Charles Michel told reporters the city's terror alert status would remain at the highest level amid a "serious and imminent" threat.

He added that the Army and police presence would be boosted in the capital to protect targets such as commercial centres, shops and public transport.

"What we fear is an attack similar to the one in Paris, with several individuals who could also possibly launch several attacks at the same time in multiple locations," said the PM.

Belgium has been at the centre of investigations into the Paris attacks after it emerged that two of the suicide bombers lived in the poor district of Molenbeek....etc.
