This is appalling. If, say, Russia, had done this to some Soros-backed moonbats, the weeping, wailing and handwringing would be on every media outlet.

She has lost control of the situation now.

I'd say so, Lily. If she had had the slightest bit of sense, she'd have told the Cologne police to let the Pegida people get on with their march - I've been watching it live, and they were NOT doing anything except singing the German national anthem and waving banners.

This is the same police force that:

a. Did nothing about the attacks.

b. Tried to cover up the attacks.

This is going to get worse and worse, IMO.

The German people are NOT going to forget this......I think she is now finished?

It's going to get worse until she is out of office.

Today was utter madness, Lily - people could watch it live, and see that those being tear-gassed and water-cannoned were NOT the 'far Right' - they were ordinary, often middle-aged, men and women. The real far Right wouldn't have just stood there and been assaulted by their useless police force. Of course, at some point, the real far Right will make their move, once any sane German is begging them for help against the deranged German government.

I don't know how ANYONE could have respect for her after this disgusting display.

and NOT see an invading army is beyond me? Were they all somehow brainwashed by sad pictures and virtue-signalling?

Remember how they were pushing those photos of the boy who had drowned and so on and so on.......

Yes, and not one of them apologised when the full story of that poor child's avoidable death came out. Not that I think truth actually matters to any of them.

At least we now know the reason for all those reprehensible lies.

No, that's not really what I mean, LL. She grew up being told that the State knows best, and the State knows better than the individual - the individual doesn't even matter, only the State. That's what I don't think she's ever moved on from.

Time and again she's refused to accept that other people may have different views to her own. And she's extra-ordinarily high-handed - look at the way she invited God knows who to walk into Europe, without bothering to find out what other people thought of her madness.

Then, when it all went t*ts up, she started demanding the rest of Europe take Germany's surplus 'migrants', causing even more conflict between her and the rest of Europe.
