Re: EU referendum set for June 23rd
Me? Firstly, I'd like to see Ms Sturgeon STFU and stop pouring petrol on a bonfire, because she is NOT helping Scotland one bit. Frankly, the current day SNP is little better than Nu Labour with a tartan ribbon on, and she's playing games.

That aside, I would like everyone to calm down. The world is still turning, the birds are still singing, and Armageddon hasn't arrived. I would also like Generation Facebook to stop spitting its dummy, especially as it seems only 25% of them actually bothered to vote. Also, they cannot claim to be 'anti-globalist' and support the EU.
As I've said all along, Jean-Pierre, I voted for the Common Market, and don't hate Europe or Europeans. I detest the bloated, meddling, bullying monster that rules from Brussels and Berlin.
What was done to Greece last year, after a democratic vote, was utterly despicable, and revealed the true face of the cuddly #lovewins 'European project'.
How about trading with all and allying with none? It's a big world out there, that isn't bounded by the limits of the European Union. As for this stuff about the EU keeping the peace - it's NATO that's done that, you know, those rough men with guns, and even nuclear weapons.
IMO, Cameron was safe calling this referendum - then Merkel foolishly invited the Middle East into Europe, without consulting anyone, and topped that off by demanding other countries take the overspill of the 'guests' she invited. Again, it revealed who was really the boss in the EU.
I think it was in the Guardian that I saw someone say, If you're rich, you vote Remain, if you're poor, you vote Leave - which is pretty accurate, and rather demonstrates that the 'European project' has shut many, many people out.
Plan? Maybe there shouldn't be hard and fast plans, as people and events have a habit of knocking those off course. I am sure businesses, etc., will be looking for new opportunities; it will all evolve and adapt. Hopefully without nonsense about lightbulbs, cookies and vacuum cleaners.
I don't see the EU surviving much longer in its present form, anyway, and regard Brexiting as jumping into a lifeboat instead of going down with the ship. I read ZeroHedge a lot in my bored moments, and find a lot of the financial reports in there rather fascinating.....

We're out of touch with ordinary, 'ghastly' Britons, says ex-BBC chief: Leaked email says it 'ignores and despises' millions because they do not embrace liberal views
Ex-BBC chief said Corporation 'ignores and despises' millions of Britons
This is because they do not embrace liberal views of the elite, he said
BBC was said to be 'bewildered' about how to respond to their concerns

Scrapping the compulsory licence fee would be a good start. I deeply resent having to hand over £140 a year to a TV station I rarely watch.
Carry ads - or make it Subscription. Then see how popular shows about cake-baking really are.

@UK__News
There are reports that Spain & Belgium would veto Scotland's EU application due to their own separatist movements.
Of course they would.

Tolerant progressives turn on one of their own, for the hate crime of independent thought. Mind you, it's only a twitterstorm, so much ado about nothing.

I make no bones - I am utterly devastated by the result. But the people have spoken and we need to get behind that.
I have do real concerns. Having persuaded 52% of the voters to vote to leave the EU, what is the plan?
Boris, at the press conference yesterday, looked bemused. Nobody actually seems to know what to do now.
So - a debate. What would members of this form like to see happen now?
J-P, what would you like to see happen?

They remind me of those half-wits that were demonstrating in London to 'end Tory rule now' - a couple of months after the Tories were re-elected with a majority.

My opinion, I wonder if a 2nd referendum will happen due to the anti-brexit movement.

No chance, Pedro - it was bad enough that registration for voting was extended because idiots couldn't be arsed registering till the last minute.
The referendum was conducted legally and fairly, and if these spoiled brats don't like the result, they will just have to suck it up. It's called democracy, and it's more important than stupid petitions that have doubtless been signed many times over by Mickey Mouse, with the Buckingham Palace postcode.

Re: EU referendum set for June 23rd
with all do respect, in my opinion: Mr. Philip Davies (MP) is the one who is being arrogant, correct me if I´m wrong, but, since when the comment or request of Mrs. Connie Asquith is arrogant, Mrs. Connie Asquith told what she believes, which is a right she have, so why does Mr. Davies considers the opinion of Mrs. Connie arrogant (which is not), you should know Mr. Davies that in democracy, opinions like the opinion of Mrs. Connie should also be respected, which is something Mr. Davies did not do.

There seems to be something about that flag that hypnotises the easily-brainwashed. Maybe those old rules that restricted the right to vote to property owners weren't such a bad idea?

Pedro, the woman is trying to undermine a legal, democratic vote by the people of the UK - I'd have said a lot worse to her.
I've seen voting that brought results I didn't like very much; grown-ups accept that, they don't spit their dummy and try to overthrow that vote.
That's it exactly, Pedro - it's democracy. Starting trying to change votes to suit bad losers is a recipe for disaster.
A few statistics are coming out now - only 25% of under-25s actually bothered to take the chance to vote. Three out of four didn't - and now they're complaining?

What we are witnessing in Britain is an attempted left-wing coup headed by the #BBC to try and override the results of the #EUreferendum
Yes. And Ms Sturgeon stirring the cauldron. Which is odd, because off the top of my head, I can easily list three HUGE benefits to Scotland from Brexit.
1. Scottish agriculture and fisheries comes under the control of Holyrood, not Brussels and Berlin.
2. Scottish Water stays in public ownership - the vultures have been hovering over that company for a while, but its now safe from predators.
3. Cal-Mac's essential services to the islands are now protected; because of EU rules on so-called 'competitive tendering', vultures have been trying to get their mitts on those, and many islanders were terrified earlier this year that that lifeline was going to be sold off to predators.
