FTSE back over 6,000 and sterling bounce back to $1.39
It seems to be the #lovewins squad that are having hysterics, Lily, convinced that Brownshirts are about to march down Whitehall. It doesn't enter their heads that a great many people regard their 'Hope against Hate' antifa agitators as the real Brownshirts.....
Also, they seem to be so brainwashed, they are incapable of grasping that countries can manage perfectly well without being part of the so-called 'European project'. The UK managed for centuries. But they seem to be melting down all over social media at the prospect of their EU snuggle blankie being removed.

Brexit: Spain calls for joint control of Gibraltar
Brexit: Spain calls for joint control of Gibraltar
Gibraltar voted overwhelmingly to remain in the EU
The Spanish government has called for joint sovereignty over Gibraltar in the wake of the UK's vote to leave the EU.
The British overseas territory of 30,000 voted overwhelmingly for remain, with 95.9% opting to stay in the union.
"The Spanish flag on the Rock is much closer than before," Spain's acting Foreign Minister Jose Manuel Garcia-Margallo said on Friday.
Gibraltar has been a British territory since 1713 but Spain continues to claim sovereignty over the enclave.
At the entrance to the Mediterranean, Gibraltar relies heavily on its shared EU border with Spain for trade.
In a radio interview, Mr Garcia-Margallo said: "It's a complete change of outlook that opens up new possibilities on Gibraltar not seen for a very long time.
"I hope the formula of co-sovereignty - to be clear, the Spanish flag on the Rock - is much closer than before."
Gibraltar's Chief Minister Fabian Picardo campaigned for a remain vote.
Julie Girling, the Conservative MEP for South West England and Gibraltar, said; "I am deeply sorry that the people of the UK have chosen this leap in the dark.
"I believe future generations will question our wisdom."
There were 19,322 votes for remain, amid a turnout of 84% of the UK voters on the enclave.
Spain continues to claim sovereignty over Gibraltar but the majority of Gibraltarians are British citizens with British passports.
The enclave is self-governing in all areas except defence and foreign policy. It is home to a British military garrison and naval base.
Gibraltarians elect their own representatives to the territory's House of Assembly and the British monarch appoints a governor.

Nigel Farage says no we won't be able to spend £350m to the NHS... That was a mistake for Vote Leave to say that, he says...
As far as I can track down, it wasn't actually him who said it - it was written on the Boris bus, not UKIP. Here's the exact wording:

Re: EU referendum set for June 23rd
The most ardent of UK voters in the Brexit referendum are expected to be those that want to leave the EU. Millions of British voters that were the most susceptible to Soros’ “reflexivity” campaign of fear are expected to be the same type of individuals who will feel safer staying out of the storm.
That is very true.

Re: EU referendum set for June 23rd
Had a word with my frightfully bolshie, English neighbour regarding my Health Insurance. He says that if it all gets a bit difficult and expensive then all I have to do is apply for French Nationality, which apparently I am entitled to after 23 years, especially after 23 years of Tax Returns. The fact that I have never actually paid any Tax is only a measure of my low income.
Oh, and I can sing La Marsellaise if pushed.
More to the point, my neighbour has come across with a really interesting job mucking out Pigs. It pays well. that should separate the men from the boys. And I have done that once or twice.

Brexit protests: Hundreds to descend on Parliament to protest Britain’s decision to leave the EU
'Tomorrow lets take to the streets at the Houses of Parliament to peacefully come together and show strength in the face of a decision none of us can truly predict the outcome of,' the organisers urge
One word, snowflakes.
DEMOCRACY.
Doubtless they will be doing their usual, shouting and screaming at policemen while accusing other people of 'hate'.

As Boris Johnson left his house on the morning of the results, his house and then car was surrounded by people on bikes who attempted to block his vehicle from moving and shouted slurs.

Yep, this is great. And nothing that I haven't done in the course of my own survival. Don't tell me that it is horrible. It isn't. I have done it all. And had lots of laughs.
Robin Dominic is just being a bit of a dickhead at the moment because he has had a bit too much to drink. Poor little soul. He has had a bit of a hard time.
ORLY? But he won't beat me.
Sorry, he is going to get a really hard time from me any minute now, although probably not until tomorrow.
He is such a sweet thing most of the time, but those anti depressant aren't helping, and I don't think I have right to tell him to stop.
How on earth did it come to this?

It's called being a parent!
Anti depressants and drink are not a great combination.
Looking after pigs? That takes me back. My first job was looking after a couple of farrowing sows when I was twelve. And then about fove dozen baconers..
I learned quite quickly not to get between a pig and its food - something which has served me well in life too!
I still like the smell of a pig farm and one whiff takes me right back in an instant. Happy days.

I am not interested in The Dollar. Sorry about that.
That is partly because the Bank of England have pledged a few quid to support sterling. £350bn to be precise. Around a half of our annual budget.
I am exaggerating a bit - the way they have done it is to make the banks buy their dodgy bonds so it pushes some faux liquidity into the market and makes everyone feel better. Then they take it back again at bedtime.
Not completely daft, that Carney' bloke. Not like Osbourne.
Interesting. Although I am probably as daft as I look. Looking like a cabbage can sometimes be okay. But then I have no control over this.
I have never seen a bad Euro, and I don't expect to see it now. The cost of my living has always been absolutely fine. I don't expect this to change.
My Pension might plummet, but I have already been there and done that.
Voila. Don't blame The Euro.

Thanks, Jean Pierre. The pills have got to go. But the difference is between his choice. Will he wait until they run out, or will he chuck the rest of then down the lavatory tomorrow? I am not choosing or him.

Moe brilliant ideas from the EU - because the iron fist and threats have worked so well so far. I wish they would leave their limousines and safe spaces and try to grasp that the plebs all over Europe are pissed off at them.

Re: EU referendum set for June 23rd
Officials have also been drawing up contingency plans for some kind of grand, forward-looking statement at the summit which would prove that the EU is alive and well. |One of the possibilities under discussion is a move towards an EU defence and security policy – something long opposed by Britain.
There may also be calls for a “leap forward” in EU political integration or the formal creation of a two-tier Europe, which would relegate poorer eastern and southern countries to the periphery. No clear consensus exists for any of these policies.
Mayhap France and Germany should just join up and be one nation, and leave the rest of us to work out trade deals, etc., which work for us?

Re: EU referendum set for June 23rd
Trying to move the referendum goalposts is a non starter on all grounds.
I make no bones - I am utterly devastated by the result. But the people have spoken and we need to get behind that.
I have do real concerns. Having persuaded 52% of the voters to vote to leave the EU, what is the plan?
Boris, at the press conference yesterday, looked bemused. Nobody actually seems to know what to do now.
So - a debate. What would members of this form like to see happen now?
