Labour leadership: Jeremy Corbyn urges probe into excluded voters
26 August 2016
Labour leader Jeremy Corbyn fears some of his supporters may have been "unfairly" barred from voting in the party's leadership election.
He has handed a list of names to party officials, saying he wants a "fair and open" contest, with all those eligible to take part able to do so.
Allies of Mr Corbyn have claimed there is a "rigged purge" of his supporters after a union leader was excluded.

Does Corbyn actually imagine that ANY of this helps make Labour electable - whoever is leader?

When it comes to the arts, Jeremy Corbyn’s head is in the clouds. No surprise there, then
Jeremy Corbyn’s latest pronouncements on arts policy, delivered at a conference in Edinburgh today, promise much. All of it is so replete with good intentions and generous impulses that one feels positively catty for pointing out the practical shortcomings and budgetary holes in his thinking.
But isn’t that Corbyn through and through? Many of the ideas in today’s speech were adumbrated in a Labour Party policy document published last September; what he proposed today takes things only a little further into the real world of public spending, but there is now at least some attempt to explain how he would pay for his castles in the air – a reversal of the Tories’ cut in Capital Gains Tax.

Bernie Sanders denies sending message of support to Jeremy Corbyn
Democrat’s spokesperson said he ‘does not intend to get involved in British politics.’
By Cynthia Kroet
Bernie Sanders on Wednesday denied sending British Labour leader Jeremy Corbyn a message of support, with a spokesman saying the Democratic senator “doesn’t intend to get involved in British politics.”
Corbyn told supporters on Monday evening he had received a message from his fellow left-winger.
“We had a message yesterday from Bernie Sanders saying that they condemned him because he wasn’t electable,” Corbyn reportedly said. “And he said the reason they condemned him was because he was electable. And he represented a threat to the establishment within the USA.”
“So I think you can see the parallels that are going on there.”

Well yes, they're both unelectable.....
Joking aside, what is wrong with Corbyn? All politicians spin the truth, try to put a good gloss on things, etc - but he's outright lying about things which are easily checked.
Oh, I forgot, he's an old Lefty, so all lies are acceptable for The Cause.

Re: Anti-Corbyn coup fails - so far!
http://www.mirror.co.uk/news/uk-news/labour-calls-richard-branson-stripped-8719591
Labour is calling for Richard Branson to be stripped of his knighthood following his bid to humiliate Jeremy Corbyn over Traingate.
Writing exclusively in the Sunday Mirror, Shadow Chancellor John McDonnell slams the Virgin billionaire as a “tax exile who thinks he can try and intervene and undermine our democracy”.
He brands fatcats who avoid paying full UK tax as “freeloaders” who are shirking their “public duty” – also singling out shamed rag trade tycoon Sir Philip Green .
And calling for a radical overhaul of the honours system, he adds: “Run off to tax exile if you want. But you leave your titles and your honours behind when you go.”
Ooh, very right-on, up the workers, and all that. Pity everyone knows it's because Branson showed the world that St Jezza is a lying toad.

1. It's not Labor demanding this, it's the Militant Tendancy lot, or whatever it is they call themselves now.Labour is calling for Richard Branson to be stripped of his knighthood following his bid to humiliate Jeremy Corbyn over Traingate.
2. Showing that a grubby nonentity is a liar is not treason, regicide or spying for the enemy which are the main reasons for stripping someone of their knighthood. .
3. I hear there's a new film in pre-production "Carry on up Corbyn's A*se". with the main character played by the loo on the London to Newcastle Virgin train.

Putin does do an eye-catching photo-op, though he came a bit unstuck with the flying with geese one - that was just silly. The puppy one was good, though.
Anna touches on this:
http://annaraccoon.com/2016/08/27/spingate-hits-the-buffers/
It's actually impossible to imagine Jezza on a zipline waving a couple of Union Jacks, as he appears to be totally devoid of any sense of humour.
Can you imagine what Corbyn would have done if one of his interviews had been wrecked by a couple of copulating pigs?
Willie Rennie not only laughed about it, he made it part of his very successful campaign.

Jeremy Corbyn's adviser works as councillor in London but has marital home 70 miles away
Jeremy Corbyn's campaign director is facing questions after it emerged that he works as a Labour councillor in London despite owning a marital home 70 miles away in Brighton.
Sam Tarry, a rail official who defended Mr Corbyn last week during the "traingate row", claims he lives in a small flat in Barking, east London, where he serves as a councillor.

He has received £20,000 in allowances from the council over the past three years.
However, according to official records, he also owns a £550,000 house in Brighton with his wife Julia Fozard, who works as a doctor at the local hospital
I am old enough to remember when councillors worked for nothing, because they considered it an honour to be trusted to serve their community.

He's all they've got now the main men, ie the Millibands etc have walked away. No support from Blair or Brown, Kinnock has slammed Corbyn - I think the mass resignation by the Shadow Cabinet was the start of the end. And the stupid stunts like traingate and the renationalisarion spiel are helping hammer more nails into the coffin that is Labor. LLlily wrote:So do I.
